That's how it happened for me, too- then one day it wasn't alright. "Then one day...". Indeed. I've had those three words written down for quite some time now. I've been meaning to write lyrics around that those words but haven't gotten around to it. Then one day I could no longer jump high enough to touch the rim, then one day my tooth had to be pulled, then one day I was no longer young and beautiful, etc...
funny how life seems to take things away from you as you age.

Bitter, very bitter times but Thy sweet love remembered,
And the best is yet to come, the last of life for which the first was made.
It was the dentist and the bill that almost broke my faith. Teeth are a lousy design and the main reason I don't believe in evolution. However I did regain my faith. The dental work was done, the bill was paid and God's sweet love is more than remembered, it is reality. But I Still Don't Believe In Evolution...or else, why such rotten teeth. Even my dogs have dental problems, expensive ones.
God's design is for decay and death, that we might have life eternal. The problem with dying is you have to get sick enough to do it. It is part of life and I accept the bitter with the sweet.

Hey Hanging... welcome aboard.
I'm a Christian, from Baptist background. The sentiment you shared is something I've run across in a few Catholics in my life. I encourage you to reconnect to your Church and maybe engage your Priest. I also encourage you to check out a non-denominational too and then perhaps the Pastor or join a small group. The Bible is obviously fine, but the surest way to see (and perhaps even feel) God's love is to be where two or more are gathered in His name.

Welcome to the group, friend. I'm sure many in the forum will be happy to have a discussion with you. That said, I feel it'll be helpful for you to speak with your local pastor or a mature believer near you. Sending prayers, asking the Lord to draw you closer to himself and reveal His infinite love for you in a special way. Blessings!
