Why don't you go have a look at The Episcopal Church and find out what you think? It's probably better than asking a bunch of random strangers on the internet. I, of course, would tell you The Episcopal Church is a great place to worship. And a continuing Anglican will come along later and tell you why you shouldn't. It's your opinion and comfort level that matter.

Sounds cool. I'll ask my mom about the matter. (Still at home, bah humbug.)

If you have questions about The Episcopal Church or continuing Anglican churches, I'm sure someone here will answer them. Still, it's what you think that matters.

I would think what matters is that a person should go to a church that teaches what the Bible teaches, not what is just their opinion or what is comfortable.
God doesn't want us to go to church to be comfortable, and to follow our opinions. He gave us a written Word to direct us. Galatians 1:10; Acts 6:4; Joshua 1:8; Proverbs 3:5-6; and other verses could be of help in this matter. It was to the church of Laodicea that Jesus is speaking when He is on the outside knocking in Revelation 3:20. This church made Him sick, Revelation 3:16.

OP is on an Anglican forum asking about two varieties of Anglican churches both of which are liturgical with Bible-based liturgy, readings, and sermons. So OP's experience matters about which is preferred. In another thread OP pretty clearly points out a desire for an Anglican way of worship.

When I get my driver's license, I will try out the local Episcopal church.

I would attend an American Anglican church but the closest one is just under 2 hours away and there's an Episcopal Church about 10 minutes south of where I live.

Any ideas?

Yes. Give it a try.

If your ultimate plan is to be Anglican, it might do you well to go for the time being, but my understanding is that the Episcopalians are falling or have fallen out of communion (not to mention favor) with the Anglicans.

Untrue. The Episcopal Church remains the American branch of the World Wide Anglican Communion.

Try Catholic mass, but it is more formal than Episcopal. I prefer the Episcopal service to the Catholic. But you can't take communion unless you first join, and it takes a lot of work.

To expand, some conservative Anglican Churches, mostly located in the Global South, have declared themselves out of communion with the Episcopal Church. But the Archbishop of Canterbury is still in communion with the Episcopal Church as well as other Anglican Communion churches that allow same sex marriage.

I personally object to homosexuality of any kind, so if something is indeed mentioned, I will have a word with the reverend and see where he stands on the matter.

Wasn't the Episcopal Church's voting privileges restricted for a few years, at the very least? This is what I've heard from Anglicans- the ones I've interacted with really tried to distance themselves from the Episcopal Church (of which I myself was once a member).

Uh sort of. The Primate's Meeting voted to suspend the right of The Episcopal Church to participate in the Anglican Consultative Council, but they don't actually have the authority to do so.
