Should Christians watch shows like Supernatural, Charmed, and Lucifer??

I think most believers can distinguish between watching a program simply for entertainment value and watching because one encourages or promotes the content.

I thought Charmed was a great show. The have not seen the others you named and really have no desire to. I watch Charmed strictly for entertainment.

If we didn't watch anything because it includes witches or ghosts then we can't be watching Shakespeare's plays Hamlet or Macbeth or A Midsummer Nights Dream or the movie The Wizard of Oz. We can't read or watch A Christmas Carol. I guess even watching the symphony orchestra perform Dance Macabre is out.

AL,

I used to enjoy horror films long ago. But after a lengthy period of spiritual warfare I no longer watch them or anything related to possession, hauntings, etc.

If you're asking the question, then the answer is "No."

It's my personal belief that some people can deal with fiction and fantasy and not have it invade their lives and spirit like a virus(and to be honest, a show like Supernatural is really tame and even a little hokey). If you're looking at the subject matter and you're already worried about how it'll affect you spiritually, then that's your answer.

Everyone is different at different times in their lives. There are things I don't do or don't watch because I looked at what it was about and felt that spiritual doubt inside. It's just a show and not worth the risk. Besides, it's Supernatural(and from what I know of the other two, they're in the same vein as far as quality in plot and production value); you're not missing much.
