Should Christians interact with Gays at all?

Civil unions won't cover people in those medical situations; said gay person in a painful coma will suffer until they die in said situation. Also, not every person can AFFORD a living will. Such things take time and resources many people do not have. But regardless, the family can overturn living wills, and the state can overturn one's living will for whatever reason a court decrees.

ts sad that this kind of thing actually happens all the time.

Where civil unions are in existance they most certainly would and do. Look them up. Calling others liars is against forum guidelines as well - look that up also.

This is false - unless there was something wrong with the living will - it certianly would cover it.

It most certainly does not cover it since the family can and often does overturn it. I have a lesbian friend that it happened to, so do not tell me that you know better.

Conidering a civil union gives all the rights marriage does under the law they would certainly cover it. Fact is you just want it to be called marriage.

If you Don't understand Thomas Jefferson beliefs to whom wrote the Constitution based on his beliefs from the Bible. You mayfollow the constitution under false pretense. As stated by him and John Adams It is self evident from the content. Even Jefferson thought that the a revolution in the civil war was necessary on the issues of slavery. As i would believe on gay marriage and abortion.

They most certainly do not and as been previously stated many people simply cannot afford the paperwork that could then be overturned at the courts discretion.

Hospitals don't alway recognize civil unions; infact, one's family can bar one's gay lover from even visiting them in the hospital if the hospital's insurance forms list the family as next of kin/emergency contact. Also, many insurance companies do not recognize homosexual civil unions.

Jefferson and Adams were not Christian and Jefferson was dead by the time the Civil War occurred. The Supreme Court has already legalized abortion and gay marriage will be next.

Thomas Jefferson was a deist; he didn't believe every word in the Bible as literal truth. Also, Jefferson owned slaves. I don't know how passionate one can feel about abolition if they too are apart of the problem.

Thomas Jefferson wrote the Deceleration of Independence. His work influenced the Constitution, but he did not directly write it. John Adams also did not write it. The Constitution also does not mention "God" or "Jesus".

States that have made civil unions legal, including Connecticut, New Hampshire, New Jersey and Vermont, have granted state benefits to same-sex couples. These include state tax benefits, better access to family health plans, co-parenting privileges, automatic preference for guardianship and decision-making authority for a medically incapacitated partner, as well as protection under state divorce and separation laws. .

Straight people can have theirs equally overturned by family if they are faulty. That doesnt change the FACT that a civil union and states that recognize them afford the exact same legal status to them as well as the same state benefits afforded to married couples.

It doesnt have to be called marriage for a legal contract to exist period other than one wanting it to be called that and is no less a commitment or legal.

Yes civil unions do not hold the same authority in the eyes of the court which has been demonstrated time and again, you just refuse to acknowledge it.
