They will not see it as any big deal (most likely) if you use one because that is what the world does, but if you decided to not use one because it is lying about your location, then they will see that you are different, and separate from this world.
Then you don't do it if it's an issue for you and you see it as lying. That is your thing, don't make it a blanket rule for everyone.
Understand?
Can you give an example of a legit company that would check my IP address?
Can you give an example of a legit company that would check my IP address?
No, no they wouldn't. They wouldn't care one way or the other or think that you are separate from this world.
Would they not already have my address?A government agency can check up on you (looking for somebody else).
But nobody here has convinced me with any kind of verse, or logical argument that says that lying with a VPN is okay and it is not a Bible defined lie. A lie is still a lie - IMO; Unless you can convince me otherwise.
What we are telling you is that this isn't a lie. You are calling something a lie when it isn't one. This is your hang up with this.
There is no Bible verse telling you not to use a VPN. Just as there isn't one to say to use one. You are ascribing something as a win that isn't.
God calls His people out of the world. So I do believe that God's Word does not return void. So there are a small few who do want to hear the truth of His Word and will recognize that there are a different and holy, and separate people that they would like to be a part of.
Again, when I upgraded to Avast Anti Software VPN feature, it forced me into a position to lie about my server location as a part of that feature. That is what VPN private security software was asking me to do. It was asking me to choose another city and State for my IP address when in reality my IP address was not in that city and State. So it was forcing me to lie. This is not acceptable because God warns about lying in Revelation 21:8.
Would they not already have my address?
Have you ever used a VPN feature on a private Antivirus software program before?
Well, if it bothers you, as another post let said then I suppose you shouldn’t use a VPN. Perhaps that’s the only useful answer to your question.
I don't use private Antivirus software anymore. I use Windows Defender as my antivirus as it works for what I need it for. I have used a VPN service before, yes.
Back when I would do some work from home and needed to have my PC secured from prying eyes.
You need to convince me that a VPN is not lying.
How is it a lie? You said that they knew I used a VPN, which means that they know how they work. I’m truthful when filling out forms for the government, so they know where I live. It’s only a lie if I am trying to deceive. Which I’m not.It still does not excuse the lie.
What I meant is that a large company, if a large company would even do such a thing, would see it as a unsecure connection and move on. They wouldn't care one bit that you are doing it because you have this perception that using a VPN is a lie. That you want to be seen as separate from the world.
The thought would never cross their mind.
So you understand that when you having a VPN you had to actively lie about your server location. For my software asked me to choose a city and State for my IP that was not my real IP. Did you not do this? How do you not see that as lying? Please explain in detail.
God sees what we do and He cares. What a company of this world does and how it operates is another matter. Most companies of this world are not Christian.
