Belivers definitely need the fear of the Lord. There are different definitions but it's vital that we have the fear of the Lord. Without it, God can not teach us and we don't learn His wisdom.

- "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever." (Psa 111:10, Job 28:28, Pro 1:7, 9:10, 15:33, Isa 33:6)

How to have the fear of the Lord is revealed in Scripture including Prov 2. v5 states 'Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God."

Having the fear of the Lord means we love what He loves and hates what He hates (Psa 97:10, Pro 6:16-19),

- We're to teach children to have the fear of the Lord (Psa 34:11).

Had wondered how to marry various Scriptures and "HIM," a CF poster, stated a gem with "There is a fear OF the Lord which He gives us and there is a fear of the Lord where we understand His righteousness and power."

- It's pivotal. It can be chosen Pro 1:29. This deep respect and reverential fear and awe of the Lord guides us daily in thought, word and deed. The Bible is filled with some of God's wisdom and we can chose to have the fear of the Lord. It's a process. Can result in "Churches walked in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit" (Acts 9:31).
