Personally I would not have such an arrangement, especially at that age. Kids grow up too quickly these days and one would like to think of kids as innocent however in todays society no matter how much we try to protect them they are still exposed in one way or another..

I remember being 3 or 4 and sharing a bed with my 11- or 12-year-old sister. When I was 5 I was switched to sharing a room (bunk beds) with my 8-year-old brother.

When I was 8 we moved to another house, where I ended up sharing a room with my newborn brother; when he outgrew his crib, the only place to put him was in my bed. I was 11. This lasted until my oldest sister left for college and I could have her old room and bed...once again, sharing the room with the same older sister I used to.

I was 14 when I finally had my own sleep space...and 2 years later I ended up sharing the room with my grandmother!

That said, sometimes circumstances dictate where people sleep, and sometimes you've just got to do what you can. If the boys are being taught to respect each other - including personal space - there should be very little problem.
