• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Please pray for my co-worker.. she has just lost her mother.

She flew home and changed jobs a few months ago, so that she could be with her mom who was sick,. But last night she found out that her mom's boyfriend shot her, and himself!!

It was out of the blue and no one knows why he did it... her mom did not make it, but the boyfriend is in the hospital. My friend is hysterical and doesn't know what to do.. her siblings are with her at least.

Please pray that they find answers and will get the help they need for their grief. Please pray also for the one who shot her mother - that he may ask forgiveness and be forgiven, and for her mother to rest in peace.

In the name of our Lord and Savior..

May the Lord be with the people involved in this circumstance.. and grant peace and comfort for these hearts in turmoil. May He fill them with courage and forgiveness.

May the Lord visit the one who did this horrible thing.. and reveal Himself. Let him come to know that physical death isn't the end of life. But the beginning. Give him an overwhelming desire to seek You..and find his place in Christ. And after he's done so.. Lord, give him the courage to forgive himself.

Lord, comfort the friends and loved ones of the people involved in this situation. Give them an unspeakable peace. I don't know if they are Christians or not.. But have mercy on their souls... and the spirit of the one who has left this earthly realm.

You're a God of Mercy..Compassion.. and Love.
May the glory and honor be yours forever.

Father,
Words are inadequate to describe the pain and grief this young family is suffering at the hands of someone else. I pray you comfort this family and help them heal from the loss of their mother. I pray that You would work in their hearts to help them forgive the one who took their mother's life. I pray that you would work in each of their lives, and that You would become most powerful in their hearts and minds. In Jesus name, Amen
