• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

does anyone have times when they feel like they have gone too far
and can't be forgiven? then they think they are only asking for
forgiveness for purely selfish reasons, like just not wanting to go to
hell and not really wanting to walk with the Lord. then 'i dont care'
feeling? one worrisome thought after another and that alway's leads
to other thoughts. never ending seems like.

This definitely sounds like OCD. Honestly who in the world would actually want to go to hell....I would say no one. But we have OCD. We experience all these obsessions and all these things that scare us and bother us. I have experienced OCD so long that sometimes I feel void. So in a sense I know how you feel.

If you have confessed your sins to God then He will have forgiven you. God promises us that if we are forgiven, 'He will never leave us nor forsake us' so you can never do anything bad enough to lose your salvation. Apologise to God for the things you've done wrong and leave it there, if you meant it He will have forgiven you. hope that helps xx
