  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Was just wondering....

...we're possibly going shopping tomorrow to get some stuff. We're going to a town about 30 miles away as it has more in the way of baby shops.

Anyhow. We have a crib for the baby and i was wondering how many sheets etc you need to buy. This is assuming that i am not washing every day but maybe every other day or every third day.
And also what type of sheets do you need?
Again i'm assuming a fitted sheet to put over the matress but i don't know what else

Thanks

just fitted sheets-- I recommend maybe 3. You can do this thing where you tuck a receiving blanket on the sides of the crib up where baby sleeps - that wat if there's drool or leakage you can just remove the receiving blanket and not the whole sheet. (Or you could use the 5th child slacker mom method- and unless it's poop- just leave the sheet to dry o the crib and put baby in a different spot-- they're so little at first they barely take up any room!)

With a moses basket- I don't know that I've ever seen special sheets for those ...you could just use a regular pillow case and safety pin it underneath. Be forwarned- that you cannot carry baby in the Moses basket :) I was so psyched when a friend got one for me- thinking I'd be able to tote baby around with me and my oldest when he was a toddler. But it turned out that they're way too tipy to carry aroound a sleeping baby.
