Shaving arms

i dont shave my arms, but i have a few friends that do.
the weird thing i dont get is y some of my guy friends like to shave their arms...and since i dont think they shower and shave regularly heheh...its prickly sometimes.
ouch prickly arms! i had to hold hands with one of them during prayer a few weeks a go and i started swinging our arms then "ouch! eek, dude u scratched me with ur prickles"

I don't shave my arms - I don't feel there's a need to because the hair on my arms isn't noticable.

I don't feel having arm hair is a really bad thing. It is something that you can live with I think.

hey all this is the first time i've ventured into this part of the forums before.

wow! interesting topic. man, i already HATE having to shave my legs coz i have sensitive skin (though i hate having hairy legs more than i hate shaving them, so don't worry, i do shave my legs...lol) let alone having to worry about my arms!!! i didn't even know that it was common practice to shave your arms! is this an american thing? you've got me all self conscious now... lol! oh well... each to their own i guess

i don't think i have a need to shave my arms anyway, my hair is pretty light and not very noticable. besides... if i shaved my arms then my freckles would become SUPER noticable! i have A LOT of freckles on my arms

QUESTION: for those of you who shave your arms... where do you stop? do you just shave your forearms? or do you go all the way up to your shoulders?
do you shave the under side of your arms (not to be confused with your underarms ) as well or do you just shave the top?

being 5'11" with extremely long arms and extremely long legs.. it would take forever to shave both. arm hair doesnt bother me anyways

I genetically have really hairy arms. (I am Ukrainian, French, Irish, Scottish) I do not shave them just because everybody in my family has noticable arm hair. It is not like it is a gross amount but we all having dark brown or black hair it is normal for us. I have really pale skin too because of an illness I got a few years ago that makes me chronically pale, making my arm hair show up more than most of the women in my family.

I think its very gorss for a woman not to shave her underarms!! I have to do it everyday even if its not needed, I have to be completely smooth.

yeah i keep my underarms very well shaved. im thinking about trying waxing my arms? any good at home waxing products that arent terribly expensive and hopefully less painful than others?

I agree Giz,I don't like to see hair under guys arms either though.I just dont look. my Fiance' shaves,but then he has me to help wax

i used to shave my arms, now im not so bothered about it because the sun lightens the hair on my arms. Altho the hair has now grown back thicker and longer, so i regret shaving them in the first place. Still, live and learn, and i do what i feel comfortable with so hey.

Hello! Who will shave your stubblies when your old? Just kidding but food for thought....try using lotion as it cause the hair to lay down...and noone really notices the arm hair. Hope this helps!

I've felt shaven arms before, and I'd rather be touching a hairy arm, than a prickly arm....it's makes me feel uncomfortable, sort of like the uncomfortableness that I experience when I scratch the chalk board...

Hair on the arms for us girls is sort of yucky.The hair on my arm is visible but sparse. but i've never dared to touch it for fear it will regrow so much that i'll have fur.oooh!

ditto!!!!! I hate it, I cringe when I rub arms with someone who has prickley arms....
