The 'behind closed doors Biden is juggling chainsaws while doing trigonometry' line reminded me of this classic skit:Found this very interesting video giving a possible explanation of Biden's behavior.
Roosevelt was never “too feeble”; Wilson suffered a stroke in 1919 and his wife Edith would “relay” the President’s wishes to his cabinet, perhaps this is the case you had meant?Biden is obviously too feeble to fully act as president. Therefore it's a take your pick as to who's really running the show. Out those picks, Obama isn't particularly far fetched. It's long been said that Eleanor Roosevelt pretty much ran the country after FDR became too feeble, so it's not exactly a new concept. The right wing didn't recently come up with the term figurehead.
FDR was in poor health when he went into his forth term and died towards the end of it. The poor guy looked like death warmed over. Hard to believe he was my age when this photo was taken. Wilson is probably also a good example.Roosevelt was never “too feeble”; Wilson suffered a stroke in 1919 and his wife Edith would “relay” the President’s wishes to his cabinet, perhaps this is the case you had meant?
He died three+ months into his fourth term, the Yalta conference had taken its toll, it’s true.FDR was in poor health when he went into his forth term and died towards the end of it. In a year's time, as the US presidential election nears its climax, it's possible Hillary Clinton will be the Democratic Party's candidate, with a chance of becoming the first female president. But there was once another woman in the White House who came close to fulfilling this description - Eleanor Roosevelt, wife of America's wartime president Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He died three+ months into his fourth term, the Yalta conference had taken its toll, it’s true.
But Eleanor never took the reins.
Anything to prove you weren’t mistaken. In a year's time, as the US presidential election nears its climax, it's possible Hillary Clinton will be the Democratic Party's candidate, with a chance of becoming the first female president. Has America already had a female president?
Hillary Clinton is hoping to be the first female president of the US, but if she succeeds she won't be the first enormously influential woman in the White House.www.bbc.com

Okay.
Well, the Democrats do not like her, and the modern Republicans do not like her, so that means she seems closer to the center. I like the underdogs who do not stand for either party the most. She can outperform Joe with a lot of things.Liz Cheney? The person who was ousted by her own party? What legislation has she authored that you believe would make her a great candidate. Because according to her own party she is dead weight they were happy to get rid of. That sentiment started with her own constituents who voted her out. if cannot win an election in her home state and maintain a position in her own party - what makes her a good candidate?
A dead monkey would be better than Joe at this pointWell, the Democrats do not like her, and the modern Republicans do not like her, so that means she seems closer to the center. I like the underdogs who do not stand for either party the most. She can outperform Joe with a lot of things.
Well, I am not there yet, but just from her speaking, she sounds much more confident compared to Joe.A dead monkey would be better than Joe at this point
Tell me what legislation she had passed that you would support her candidacy?
You support her because she speaks better than Joe? So does TrumpWell, I am not there yet, but just from her speaking, she sounds much more confident compared to Joe.
Well, I am not a fan of Trump for reasons that I have stated elsewhere on the forums. I like the old-school Republicans from before 2016, such as Romney, maybe cos I am an old soul. You support her because she speaks better than Joe? So does Trump
As opposed to the Republican Party politicians who are apparently terrified of Trump, self reflection and reconsidering your choices is a sign of a healthy party that isn’t ideologically committed to one terrible candidate.
It appears that more and more Democratic Party politicians are frustrated with Joe Biden.
Donald Trump is, by far, the one that the vast majority of Republican voters want. But, the liberals appear to believe that Trump is a "terrible candidate. As opposed to the Republican Party politicians who are apparently terrified of Trump, self reflection and reconsidering your choices is a sign of a healthy party that isn’t ideologically committed to one terrible candidate.
The worst thing that can happen to the GOP now would be for the democrats to drop Biden and pick someone younger, sharper and with far less baggage than Trump.
I have found a few centrist democrats (such as the Democrats for Life of America, a pro-life Democrat group), but the democrats have shunned them. On the other side, I have found a few centrist Republicans, and the GOP has shunned them also. The third decade of the 21st century has become the shunning game. We need to go back to the 1970s-2010 era. For instance, in the 1970s, Richard Nixon (a Republican) supported the stewardship of the environment with his environmental policies.Donald Trump is, by far, the one that the vast majority of Republican voters want. But, the liberals appear to believe that Trump is a "terrible candidate.
Honest question here. Does the Democratic Party have a potential candidate for president who can step in if Biden drops out that is NOT beholden to the progressive left?
He is a terrible candidate. The only election he’s ever won was in 2016 against the next most unpopular candidate in history, Hillary Clinton.Donald Trump is, by far, the one that the vast majority of Republican voters want. But, the liberals appear to believe that Trump is a "terrible candidate.
The most obvious replacement would VP Harris but there’s also a few governors who’ve shown ambitions of being president recently and would have the executive experience to do the job well and name recognition to draw in voters.Honest question here. Does the Democratic Party have a potential candidate for president who can step in if Biden drops out that is NOT beholden to the progressive left?
Where did this conspiracy theory come from?
I must have missed where the Democrats forced Biden to renege on his pledge to only serve one term? The Democrats should just pick another candidate and let the poor guy alone.
