  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

rofl...I was about to tell you that I hope you have a fireproof suit because that comment carries potential for flaming, especially from some of the more exciteable types around here.

Now that I'm through laughing, I can't donate blood. I'm so anemic that they won't let me. But I can donate plasma... I thought anemia affected plasma too, but evidently I'm wrong.

You should be in the clear now unless you've recently received any other tattoos or piercings. I hope you're able to do it sometime.

Im just scared of the really big needle... I guess it hurts
Only if you're afraid of needles. It's over in like, 5 minutes, and the worst part is tapping the vein. That's usually only awful for me because my veins collapse 6 or 7 times before I can get a tap.

Ah, the joys of blood draws.

I donated a couple of times, but can't anymore. I was in Germany during England's Mad Cow Disease thing and the FDA or somebody determined that those of us who were over there at that time are 'contaminated'.

But it works out for me, I hate needles. One time, giving a sample for a physical, the tech couldn't find the vein and started moving the needle around in my arm. Back and forth, back and forth. I started getting lightheaded and everything started going black. LOL

'bout two months here. I guess I'm due.

Funny story, one time, I was opening a letter and got a paper cut. When I looked at the letter, it was from the Red Cross, it said "Thank you for your blood donation".

I think I actually posted a thread about that, about God having that sense of humor.

B- blood BTW, the funniest type, too bad all the "Be negative" jokes have been done...

I tried giving blood once, but I had such poor circulation that they had to take out the needle and discard a nearly full bag. I was so disappointed and I didn't have the time to start over again. I had a nasty bruise for several weeks afterwards because of all the massaging they did on the needle. My friends have strongly advised against doing it again.
