Hi,

I am looking for a place to share a gift. So far, I have found people who mock the gift. And some call me a heretic for having the gift and wanting to share it.

Jesus said that all the scriptures beginning with Moses spoke of Him. Some preachers of the past have described the scriptures as a tapestry.

I have gotten a glimpse of the tapestry. And though I cannot see it all at once, I can trace the threads from picture to picture of Christ. Here is an example of a place where the threads come together.

I will skip the references so it won't be tedious:

The dust thread starts in Genesis when Adam is called from the dust and given life. This thread winds around and we see that when we are in the dust we are dead, and also said to be asleep.

An empty vessel without bracelets is said to be unclean.

A goat is used for a sacrifice to remove sin

The rod is used for power and discipline.

It is appointed unto man to die once, and the city of Timnath, means the appointment.

These are a few of the threads that come together in Genesis 38.

Judah has a son and calls him Er, which means 'awake'. If asleep is dead and in the dust, awake is alive and from the dust. Er becomes a shadow of Adam who was called alive from the dust.

Judah chose Tamar to be a wife for Er.

Adam and Er were killed by God because of sin. Adam, the first man died without a living 'spiritual' heir, which is why we must all be born again, and why Jesus became the firstfruits of mankind. Er died without an heir.

Then Judah gave Tamar to Onan to bear living children for Er. But he refused and spilled his seed on the ground. He testified that his children (seed) would also be earthly children, not living children. He represents Israel whom God called to be his witnesses and bear living children on behalf of Adam. Yet God tells Israel that they "would not". Israel begat earthly children.

So Tamar waited a long time for Shelah to grow up and be given to him as a wife. But Shelah never got the chance. Joseph was the rightful heir to the throne of David, but was never given the chance, and Mary knew no man.

As the appointed time grew near for Christ's death and Mary there, we find Tamar before Timnath, the appointment.

Judah promises Tamar a goat while Mary is told she would get a scape goat, "For he will save his people from their sin."

Both Tamar and Mary want an assurance of the promise they have received.

Tamar receives a rod while Mary is told that the power of God will over shadow her. And the cross (the discipline of God on her son), overshadowed her just as it did for Christ.

Tamar was given a signet ring, while Mary was told he would be called the son of the Most High.

And Tamar was given bracelets indicating that she was not unclean, and in fact Judah was told, "there was no prostitute here." While Mary was told that she carried a Holy thing.

When it was discovered they were pregnant, Tamar was threatened with death and Mary with divorce.

Then they were both honored when it was discovered who the father was.

Tamar bore twins and Mary bore the God-man.

The names of the twins mean "breaking forth" "rising sun" and Jesus was called the dayspring.

There are many more details, but these should be sufficient to see that the story shows how God fulfilled the Leverate law and that the Tamar story is a shadow of the birth of Christ.

I am told there is no record that this has been seen in 2000 years, some say I invented it. I did not. Some say it is dangerous. Reading the Bible and seeing Jesus is not dangerous.

Though I received the gift to be able to see these, it is not revelation. It is a gift similar to playing the violin. I am grateful for the gift since I have seen God in unimaginable ways. But I am also able to teach others to see them and am anxious for others to see Him in his word.

While much of the church has abandoned the Old Testament as being irrelevant, God has renewed His testimony that it all speaks of HIs Son.

Am I welcome to share here?

Hello visitor! Looks like you're new to CF too.

To be honest, that's kind of a strange post, but you raise some interesting contrasts there with Mary and Tamar.

Thanks for the welcome. I know they are strange. But each one can be justified with the Hebrew dictionary or a scriptural references.

God said he speaks in riddles and Samson's riddle tells us how to solve them.

He said, "Had you not plowed with my heifer, you would not have known the riddle."

You plow the earth, or the literal scripture with the heifer, or the sacrifice, which is Christ.

M.R. DeHaan and others have affirmed that all scriptures speak of Christ. Arthur Pink and C.E. Mackintosh saw hints of them. The author of Hebrews saw Melchizedek as a shadow of Christ. John is said to be the fulfillment of Elijah. And now I can explain how they saw them and teach you to see them as well.

I welcome skepticism. I just ask that you search the scriptures to see if they are true.

I don't want followers. I want you to be able to see Him in His word as I have been privileged to do. Then we can compare notes with each other.

Uzziah was a king who "did everything according to his father". (he who knew no sin) Then he offered incense (a sweet savor such as the burnt offering meaning total devotion) in the temple and became leprous ( made to be sin ). And in the other book he is known as Azariah. This is the name of the high priest who confronted him in the temple. So he is known as the high priest just as Christ was made high priest after the resurrection.

Christ is everywhere.

Let me tell a story to set the context for these strange shadows that I will be sharing, should you permit me to continue.
There are many ways to tell a story. The cowboy poets gather to tell stories in rhyme. Short stories are told in songs, and longer ones in ballads. Stories are told in pictures like cartoons, pictographs and animations. Sometimes in photos. Long stories are often found written in books. Scientists find stories written in the rings of the trees and patterns in the rock. Policemen find stories in fingerprints and other evidence. I will tell a story about a story told in riddles.

There once was a good and clever king. This king saw people who were suffering in the kingdoms around him and decided that when his son reached a certain age, he would go on a secret mission to the other kingdoms and tell the people they were welcome in his. As his son grew, it became a burden for the king to think he would be separated from his son, since he loved him so much. The king wished to collect mementos of his son to remind him of his love while he would be away, but doing so might give away the secret mission and put his son and his mission in jeopardy.
The king started writing a history book, or so everyone thought. But rather than writing a simple history of his kingdom, whenever he saw something that reminded him of his son and his great love for him, he wrote a riddle, hidden in the history, that only he could see. Sometimes he would write riddles about what his son was doing, and sometimes he wrote riddles about the mission his son would be on.
Occasionally someone would suspect that there might be a riddle in the history, but the interesting thing about riddles, is that you must know something about the answer already, before you can solve it. Since they didn't know anything about the son's mission, they gave up any hope about solving the riddles.
One day the king saw the wind tear a piece of cloth in half that was hung out to dry, and it reminded him of the impending separation from his son. So he wrote in his history about the incident. When he saw the snow fall on the muddy earth it reminded him of how his days would be brightened when his son was around, and when the river turned to ice in the winter, it made his think how lonely his son would be away from him. So his history had stories about these silly things. Silly to others, but each reminding him of his son.
Over time some people suspected that the son might have a special mission, but they couldn't imagine what it could be. One day the boy was with his teachers as they were discussing the history. Not knowing that his mission was a secret, he would tease the teachers with questions about the history. Who is the cloth and who is the snow, he would ask. And as he asked the questions, the teachers saw that indeed there was a riddle, and they started putting all the pieces together. The way the boy asked the question, he was almost bragging that he was the snow, and the torn cloth. Could it be?
As the boy approached the time of his mission, some of the teachers had figured out the riddles and were determined to stop him and foil the mission. But they couldn't.
When he returned, he explained his mission to his friends and showed them that he and his mission were the keys to all his father's riddles in the history book.
... and Jesus said that all the scriptures spoke of Him.

Joseph could never rule with a curse in place through his bloodline. There would be no chance given in that regards.

You are correct. It is one of the reasons that only a virgin birth through Mary's genealogy that he could fulfill contradictory prophecies.

He had the legal right through Joseph's cursed line, but the actual blood of David through Mary's line that branched before the curse.

Correct.

That is the only way the scriptures align correctly on this subject. There was no curse on Mary's bloodline.

Follow the bracelets thread and it leads you to Rebekah who received two bracelets.

One of the warps of the tapestry is 'two'. Wherever you find it there is a heavenly and an earthly. The thread begins in Genesis 1.1 and winds everywhere.

Now Rebekah was a woman by the well, Rachel was by the same well, and the woman Jesus met was there.

Rebekah was chosen by the Father to be a bride for his son.
Rachel was kissed by the son or wooed or called by the son.
And Jesus wasn't looking for a bride, but Sychar, the city where he was means 'intoxicated which is the same thread that wound here from the day of Pentecost when they were thought to be intoxicated. So that thread drags the Holy Spirit in and we see that she was gathered by the Holy Spirit into the bride-church.

So the Father chooses, the son calls and the Holy Ghost gathers. Since from the beginning there has been one man and one woman, there is only one bride. They all are the same bride, but the pictures show how God chooses, calls, and gathers the church.

Bracelets... we'll get there.

Now Rebekah was a virtuous woman, but the words have innuendo. There is a subtle accusation. It says the servant 'took' her' and the word can mean 'married'. Also later when she saw Isaac, she covered herself, with the innuendo that she was uncovered with the servant. In the same way that Mary and Tamar were 'tainted' as a prostitute, Rebekah is tainted. Hence the need for bracelets to say she was not unclean.

Now consider Rachel. We never think of Rachel without Leah. Since there is only one woman for one man, Rachel and Leah are one bride. Leah has the taint of the prostitute and Rachel the virgin bride.

Now consider the woman at Sychem. She was a prostitute and yet she was made the bride.

Do you see a prostitute bride thread? Lets see, Ruth has the taint and is the bride, Hagar and Sarah together, Rahab is the prostitute who became the bride, Bathsheba is both, Vashti and Esther together, Gilead's first son was born of a prostitute, and his wife had children, and Gomer was a prostitute yet her names means 'complete' and her first son was named 'God sows' as a hint to a virgin birth.

The thread goes everywhere. Whenever there are two, one is earthly and one is heavenly. The prostitute represents our earthly nature and the virgin bride our redeemed nature. The prostitute bride is us. Yes. It is also Israel and the church, but together they are a shadow of us.

Notice that the imagery is not that of a redeemed prostitute. The bride is a virgin, because he remembers our sin no more. The prostitute is the flesh that must die, be put off, come out of.

I would love to have these notes:

Luke 24:27
27 and having begun from Moses, and from all the prophets, he was expounding to them in all the Writings the things about himself.

Or these!

Acts 28:23
23 and having appointed him a day, they came, more of them unto him, to the lodging, to whom he was expounding, testifying fully the reign of God, persuading them also of the things concerning Jesus, both from the law of Moses, and the prophets, from morning till evening,

Amen to that!
When I first got saved I was just a teen. My parents were very concerned about my conversion to the point where they forbade me to have a Bible in the house and only allowed me to read a Episcopalian Prayer Book. I had very little money and so could not buy a nice Bible. I finally scraped up a dollar and bought a very cheap paper back KJV. It had recycled brown paper pages and heavy black paper covers. I had to hide this Bible outside the house whenever I came home so my parents would not find it.
I got ahold of a set of Bible studies from ??? and began to read from them. One of them was a list of scriptures from the OT that showed Jesus from Genesis to Malachi. I got a pen and went through that Bible and marked every verse that referred to the Lord. I was very sad and alone and had no Christians friends. All I had was that black newsprint Bible and that study.
Even though this was 37 year ago, I remember the first verse in the list... it was in Genesis 3:

Genesis 3:15
15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

There were hundreds of such verses listed and I underlined them and added cross refereneces to the NT fulfillment of each. I have to say that my love for the word was ignited by that cheap little black Bible.
This all occurred in the last year of high school, but I kept that Bible for a number of years until it just fell apart. For that first year... it was pretty much my only console. I have since purchased more expensive Bibles with extensive cross references and study notes. But for all my life that cheap little black Bible is my favorite. I pray that when I get to heaven I will find that Bible on the stand next to my bed.
I tear up just thinking about it.

I appreciate the affirmations and the welcome. I have been attempting to share these for more than a year, and have been run out of forum after forum.

It is often thought that the seed of the woman is the first picture of Christ. This is because the hermeneutic for seeing the shadows has been largely lost.

In the tapestry, the first one is in Genesis 1.1

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
Re 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
Re 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Since Christ is the beginning, Gen 1.1 says
In Christ, God created the heavens and the earth.
Col 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
1Jo 4:13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
The second one is in the word Elohim itself. There is a pun in Hebrew by pronouncing the 'h' a little harder with "The Not Dark"

Joh 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Joh 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.

The third shadow is in Gen 1.1 also:
The ragged beginning of one thread starts with "heaven and earth".

1Co 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
The word for man and son is interchangeable because Eve told us:

Ge 4:1 ...and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.
She called her son a man. So we jump from first and second man to first and second son:

1Co 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
Everyone knows that Jesus is the first son, because he is the only son of God, and also he is the first fruits of both man and Israel.

But he is also the usurping second son.

As the first and second son, he is the first and second man, and he is the earthly and heavenly.

So I know you want to know how Jesus is the second son.
Hold on to your hats:

First man:second man in Matthew's genealogy of Jesus

This theme is a sub-category of “two=dual nature”. In it, the first man is earthly, and is associated with the earth by his name, occupation, lusts, etc. The second man is the one who finds the pearl of great price and will give all for it.
Definition: 1Co 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
We can infer that ‘son’ is synonymous with ‘man’ from the following verse:
Ge 4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.
That son = man is inferred from the context of the passage.
In this theme there are two “things” that each must fit into the earthly:heavenly pattern. So there must be four justifications for each pattern pair: one showing the identification as the first man, one showing the first man as the earthly man: one for the second man, and one for the second man as the heavenly man. I will use an abbreviated form since there is a plethora of examples. [I loved Three Amigos].

Deduced: He inherited the promise
Solomon**Christ
Solomon ** first son (of David) used as a title
Ecc 1:1 The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Jerusalem.
Hidden: This is the first place “Son of David” is used as a title, rather than as a description of relationship.

Solomon **earthly son
Hidden: The book of Ecclesiastes is about the vanity of the earthly world.

Christ **second son
Matt 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David,…
Hidden: This is the second place “Son of David” is used as a title, rather than as a description of relationship.

Christ **heavenly son
Hidden: The book of Matthew is about the Kingdom of God

And here’s the real kicker: All these “second sons” are in Matthew’s genealogy of Jesus.

Matt 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
Matt 1:2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;
Matt 1:3 And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;

The only one in this sequence I didn’t list is Abraham. All of the guys surrounding Abraham were second sons, so what does your gut tell you? You’re right. The gut says he’s a second son also. Can you discover how?

Can Matthew count to 14?

Matthew says that the generations (in Matthew 1) are 14, 14, and 14 yet when you count them, they are 13, 14, 13.

This troubles some, since Matthew and God apparently could not count. (You can find discussions about this on the blogs.)

You are familiar with the first and second son theme, so let's see how it plays into answering this "troubling" passage.

key:
second son = second son theme, where against the traditions, the second son receives the best inheritance. The first son represents the first man (Adam) and the fleshly nature. The second son represents the second man (Christ) and the heavenly nature.

only begotten son = although the person spoken of may have had siblings, the passage with his geneology doesn't mention them. In the same way, although Melchizadek, had earthly parents, they weren't mentioned so it emphasized that he was from outside of Israel, and symbolized Christ as the high priest. The passage uses the term "begat".

unbegotten only son = although these guys were obviously begotten by their fathers, the words used to relate the geneology have been changed. Now rather than saying "begat" as above, it says "his son was". No siblings are mentioned in the geneology.
1 second son - son of David
2 second son - son of Abraham
3 second son - Isaac
4 second son - Jacob
5 second son - Judas
6 second son - Phares
7 second son - Esrom
8 second son - Aram
9 only begotten son - Aminadab
10 only begotten son - Naasson
11 only begotten son - Salmon
12 only begotten son - Booz
13 only begotten son - Obed
14 only begotten son -Jesse

1 David (many titles)
2 unbegotten only son - Solomon
3 unbegotten only son - Roboam
4 unbegotten only son - Abia
5 unbegotten only son - Asa
6 unbegotten only son - Josaphat
7 unbegotten only son - Joram
8 unbegotten only son - Ozias
9 unbegotten only son - Jotham
10 unbegotten only son - Achaz
11 unbegotten only son - Ezekias
12 unbegotten only son - Manasses
13 unbegotten only son - Amon
14 unbegotten only son - Josias

1 Jechonias has brethren
2 Salathiel
3 Zorobabel
4 Abiud
5 Eliakim
6 Azor
7 Sadok
8 Achim
9 Eliud
10 Eliazar
11 Matthan
12 Jacob
13 Joseph
14 Jesus

Notice that Solomon is an unbegotten only son because God adopted him.
1 Chron 22:10 He shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.
"Generation" in Genesis means "record of" as part of a colophon. So including the first mention of David as the "record of the son of David" as one of the "generations" or records in Matthew is permitted.

The last block has no titles because they lived during the 400 years of silence. God didn't speak to Israel through prophets, judges, kings, priests, nor in the shadows.

Why 14?

This is the same "Chosen, called, gathered" pattern we have seen elsewhere.

The Father chose a bride for Isaac. The Son Jacob called (wooed) a bride for himself. Jesus gathered the bride at the well.

Here, the first 14 represent the fullness (7) on heaven and earth (x2) of the Father choosing a bride for his son. The history of Israel before David is the history of a bride chosen.

Notice that the "second sons" are in this block. The bride is chosen for a second son fulfilling the Leverate law.

The next 14 represent the fullness of the Son wooing his bride. God's long-suffering and patience with a disobedient Israel is the history of the wooed bride. David the poet, and Solomon fall into the block of woo-ers.

Then there is a fullness of judgment, beginning with silence and ending with Christ being judged in our place. This gives him the right to gather, his bride, the church.

There are not three brides in reality. Each shadow just paints a picture of the church.

We were chosen and called, but we "would not". We were enemies of God, until he gathered us to himself.

This apparent problem is a perfect shadow of the work of salvation in Christ.

I would love to have these notes:

Luke 24:27
27 and having begun from Moses, and from all the prophets, he was expounding to them in all the Writings the things about himself.

I kind of implied it, and I don't know if I dare say it out loud.

I have only studied a small percentage of the scripture using the gift, but everywhere I have looked, it is a picture of Jesus. So in a sense, he gave you the outline when he said "all".

Someone challenged me to find Christ in the story of Japhtheh. He's the one who offered his daughter as a sacrifice. I am unpacking it now. In the first pass I spot highlights of Christ's ministry. In the second pass I validate it word by word solving the riddles.

Even that strange story is a perfect picture of Christ's ministry as judge. It ends with him in a guarded tomb saying judgment ended with his death. John 3 says that judgment started when the light came into the world. This happened the first day of creation.

It implies that judgment ends when the light goes out of the world. This happened when it turned dark while he was on the cross.

So we have been judged already and found guilty. Now is the time to seek grace.

But have confidence that he is in all the scriptures as you seek to find him. If you meditate on his word, it will give you great delight as you see Christ in it. And as you do, you will begin to see the portraits of Christ for yourself.
