Milingua produces free weekly Hebrew vocabulary lessons. In many cases the words are only of interest to those who are making a serious effort to learn Israeli Hebrew. However, this week's lesson is about the root shin-lamed-mem and may have interest for a wider audience. The lesson includes the English language pun, 'A person in a state of "peace" is one that has reached this day "in one piece". Sort of reminds you of the Shehecheyanu, "... who has kept us in life, and has preserved us and enabled us to reach this season."
