Shadow People

I hope this is the right place for this, if not please let me know.

Has any one ever heard of Shadow People? I have been seeing them once in awhile. From what I have read they are humanoid shadow forms that are only seen out of the corner of the eye for just a second or two. I have read that many people around the world have seen these things, and some have seen them dead on for a much longer time.

I do not know how many, but I do know that I have seen quite a few of these things. My first one was last year, I was driving with my mom late at night in the country and saw one walk in front of the car only for a second, and vanish.

Some believe they are any of the following:
Demons
Ghost
Angels
Aliens
Beings from another dimension

Is there any thing in the Bible that could help me find an answer to this problem?

Edit: For stuff you see for just a second, I would guess it's an optical illusion. Did your mom see the same thing?

I hadn't heard of such things before, I used to love paranormal stuff, I had to do some major repentance for that when I became a Christian, Satan is tricksy, he loves to play mind games which I gave in to befor I knew better, I'm skeptical about all that now.

If and that a big if, it wasn't your eyes playing tricks on you, that happens to us all, I'd be enclined to think it's tricksy demons.

I can't answer your question biblicaly because I'm new to reading the bible and haven't come across anything so far, I'm interested to see what other people answer.

There's nothing in the Bible about it. I don't know if they're earthbound spirits. In my opinion they are most likely something demonic-not demons themselves but something connected to them.

Well, I saw something to what you are describing. It was not a ghost though, but a demon. Long story, one moral: don't ever mess with ouija boards. I was younger and stupid.

while a sight out of the corner of the eye is hard to call anything other than just an illusion of the mind i do believe that demons and such exist, if you do encounter such a being your only defense would be to call upon the name of the Lord and ask for protection by the Holy Spirit i spose.

Shadow People.... hmmm read the wikipedia on that "Phenomenon" and I would have to say ... some of it could be just delisions brought on by what you want to see... the real ones (if there are real ones) would not be angels... as angels come to minister, and these Shadow People just appear, mess with your mind and disappper..... that's not Angelic, it's not holy..... let's say for arguments sake that aliens are real... why would they bother tormenting us like that? since real humans can't move through walls... we're kinda left with two valid choices here....either it's always made up, or there is some demonic stuff going on....

Answer me this, can an evil spirit hinder God's outcome? God knew the end from before the beginning.

Ecc 3:11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

Isa 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
Rev 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

Read the scripture. It is impossible to believe it and entertain petty fears. Though I will not say that the judgements of God should not be feared, who can stand against them?

Im not entertaining my fears, thankyou, and I havent said that it will affect God's outcome. But we need to be wary of evil spirits and ask God to protect us from them. It would be foolish not to acknowledge the existence of evil spirits, by acknowledging that they do exist we can resist them

Yes, seen them. Only it wasn't out of the corner of my eye. It walked out of the shadow of a tree cast on my wall, across the room and just stood there, staring at me. Then walked back into the shadows and disapeared.

Picture that cloaked figure the Priest saw in the courtyard in the Exorcism of Emily Rose, and you have a spot on image of the guy I saw.

Now, reason I say it's a demon, is because my Small Group leader had the same thing in his house, and the moment they would start to read the Bible, it would flee. Just dart across the room and disapear. Was interesting, because two weeks ago at smallgroup (Thats what we call Bible Studies at our church anyway) it got mentioned...and just about everyone there had seen/been confronted by it. All described the same thing. Right down to the same feeling it sends down your spine when you stare at it.

That, and one of my Friends was confronted by it...in a very much spiritual warfare kinda way. (As in, it spoke to him...taunting him about the power of God basically...that kind of thing...which really creeps me out)

One thing to keep in mind folks, of the Armor of God mentioned in the Bible, only the Word (AKAL The Bible) is listed as on offence for spiritual warfare. these things FLEE from the word of God. (And through Christ, we are given the authority to rebuke them. Which is pretty freaking cool IMHO. So long as we're clear that the power to do that comes from God, and not us. )

You guys must be doing something majorly right to all be visited by that same one..... count it a blessing Satan sees fit to taunt you, as you are obviously faithful to God's Word..... and as you said, Keep your Focus on God and whatever your study is, don't let anything human or spiritual take you off His Word.

Thank you, you all have brought up some good points and opinions.

I myself think that they were evil spirits/demons. I had been taunted by them for a week straight, and after praying and keeping focused on God I have not seen them any more.

I have read the article about them on wikipedia. So I guess the next time they come to bother me I can always do the following:
Pray
Rub my eyes and forget about it
Or just call on the Ninja Turtles...lol.
