  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Did your sex drive change after you became pregnant?

I'm in my 12th week now. In the last 2 weeks my sex drive is high. Of course my husband is very happy. He has been asking me "Is this normal?" I told him this morning we had to start trying different positions because the last time (me on the bottom) I felt like his stomach was putting pressure on the baby. He just gave me this smile and said "Wow, ok." Normally I'm not open to try anything different.

Mine got higher in my second trimester, and now it's none existant (just into my third trimester now), but I think this is mainly to do with the fact that I'm so tired all the time, baby kicks me none stop when I go to bed and I'm getting really bad heart burn at night as well. I got a lie in on wednesday and I felt my mojo returning but hubby wasn't interested, very annoying!

Rakoon, have you tried putting a pillow under your bum, it tilts your body slightly so hubby isn't directly on bump. It worked for me while bump was still quite small, not so good now though.

I read that one's sex drive can get higher or lower, I'm only 9 weeks along so I don't know if I'll go either way or not. In one pregnancy book I looked at, it showed several positions which are to keep stress off the bump, hips and knees...basically we plan on using whatever works.

I told my husband this morning that the books I've been reading say that when you get into your second trimester your sex drive goes up he was like  but so far I think I'm back to normal. I am open to having sex if he is, before I would give excuses like "I'm tired" or "What about tomarrow?"
