“I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.”
(Luke 23:43)

Considering there was no punctuation used in the original Greek transcripts and it was inserted where the 1611 scholars thought it should, consider the following...

“I assure you today, you will be with me in paradise.”

Is this not the promise that Jesus has made to all of us that accept Him as our Saviour?

This rendition seems to make more sense as we know Jesus didn't go to Heaven at His death intil after He was resurrected. That would mean that the original translation of this verse would be a false statement.

I did not post the last words of Jesus to cause any debate but since you have raised a question I would like to ask you this:

You look at this statement in the realm of your understanding forgetting that I and my Father are one. So was Jesus in paradise that day or not?

No. Jesus went to the grave. Had He ascended to Heaven, to His Father, than He would not have told Mary that He had not yet ascended when He came forth from the grave.

maybe that was all in regard to the spirit of Jesus... and that both spirits would be together in paradise...

And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into your hands I commend my spirit

Again I say: "You look at this statement in the realm of your understanding forgetting that I and my Father are one. So was Jesus in paradise that day or not?"

BTW I did not get this information from "My leader" or from any other person this was given to me by My Lord and Savior Father God.

The statement "I and my Father are one" is in regard to their being in agreement with each other. The other scenario would be catholic teaching which states that they are of the same substance, not separate individuals.

John 10:
25 Jesus answered, “I did tell you, but you do not believe. The works I do in my Father’s name testify about me, 26 but you do not believe because you are not my sheep. 27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”

I only know as I have said before; my understanding comes from My Lord and Savior Father God. I testify only of what has been revealed to me thru Him. But of course you do not believe me.

Spirit = life/breath.

Christ said He didn't go to heaven. Why try to make it mean something else besides that?

It's not about my understanding. Christ and the Father are One. But it's not "One" in the singular sense regarding physicality. If Christ was One with His Father the way you say, then why the question "My God, why hast thou forsaken Me"?

BTW I did not get this information from "My leader" or from any other person this was given to me by My Lord and Savior Father God.

This was not giving to you by the Father. Test the spirits.

This is because your words align with the teachings of Babylon. It is not the pure truth of the scriptures.

I guess you don't believe her either... whatever that means.

Well, nowadays I am inclined not to have any ultimate opinions... opinions may change and vary with time... Of course I do believe in the Father and the Son, now depending on the definition of the word believe, some people might argue that I actually do not believe... you never know...

as far as the unity between Jesus and the Father is concerned, I understand that they are two who are in unity... its not like God was speaking to Himself when talking about His Son... thats how I put it to myself...

You should pray about things you post like this.

Matthew 12:31
And so I tell you, every kind of sin and slander can be forgiven, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.
