I have admitted when I was wrong before even to Eternal Security Proponents (Who are my most heated adversaries). So no. I would not say I am close minded. I would say that I cannot unlearn what I know. Can you unlearn that the Earth is round? Surely not.
Are you capable of any self-reflection whatsoever? Or do you believe that you are not mistaken in any of your convictions?
No. You have it backwards. Atheism is a conclusion I come to based on other -isms I subscribe to (materialism, empiricism). It derives from my worldview, it doesn't define it. It's actually a very small aspect of who I am.Yes, I know what the official definition of the meaning of the word is. Thanks. I am not 5 years old. But everybody on the planet has a worldview or belief system about the creation of the universe, and morals. People who deny God have faith in a belief system that tells them that the Lord our God does not exist.
Evolution has nothing whatsoever to do with Atheism.Atheism is it's own belief system or faith. For Evolution (Which is popular with atheists) requires lots and lots and lots of faith despite the evidence refuting it.

I mean, let's be clear. In this analogy you represent the flat-earthers. You believe that the vast majority of the planet is deluded and unwilling to see evidence.
This is just smug chest-thumping now. It's literally just making your position completely unfalsifiable and throwing it in everyone's face.If you were to know what I know, you would believe. It's that simple. But you have to take a step of faith in order to see. Sort of like when Indiana Jones had stepped out onto that invisible bridge in Indiana Jones and the last crusade.

Hitler's support, historically, is wildly overstated. His party never won a popular majority and it wasn't until after he instituted a propaganda state that he could have been said to have swayed the majority. In any case, the point still stands that you have the traits resembling flat-earthers, not anyone else here. There are many who supported Hitler. So people can easily be deceived.

Yes? But so what?As for atheists, they must have some idea of what a "god" is, else they wouldn't know what they are rejecting. In other words, to say there is no need for a moral lawgiver, don't you have to concede that the concept is somewhere in your mind?

-White Noise-God's Word says the heart is deceitful and desperately wicked. Again, you are not above being deceived into believing something that is false. Only God and His Word can guide you into the truth.
No it wasn't.Uh huh; And I am the Easter bunny.
Evolution was created as a means to explain how the world evolved without God.
It doesn't matter what you think they're doing. It doesn't contradict the idea of a God. Therefore it is not a component of Atheism.I know there is Theistic Evolution, but this is merely Christians who are still trying to hold onto the thinking of the ways of this world instead of just following God's Word.
They can very easily be deceived if they believe anything they hear, which appears to be what you do.
This is hilarious. You're pushing for puritanical society where all fiction is viewed with suspicion and contempt.Well, whether you like Science Fiction entertainment or not, I believe aliens, parallel universes, and time travel is pushed within Science Fiction heavily as a part of the deception by the evil one. For there are many who are influenced by Science Fiction. I would say that the reports you read are from people who do enjoy Science Fiction. My encouragment for you is to just read the Bible and follow Jesus. For what purpose does it serve to know about parallel universes and the like? It is all speculation. We should stick to the Bible.

Seriously, it's just static to me. Preaching to me won't do anything. I don't hate humans enough for that.

I find being preached at extremely uninteresting. Sci-fi is much more interesting, and emotive. Then we are done talking. If you won't hear about Jesus and His love (and if that does not stir up in you anything at all) then there is nothing left to be said.

I use the context many times (over the many years) to defend what the Bible says plainly in our own language.
Don't confuse the title of a popular press account of something with what NASA actually said. NASA's press release only says "earth-sized" exoplanets. It says nothing about them being "earth-like"."Earth like" does not mean it is like our Earth whereby people can live on these planets. Therein lies the deception. Also, they have not confirmed if these planets are actually like Earth in any way.
