Bio/Background : Sera (childhood nickname) grew up as the youngest (only girl of 4) of a wealthy farmer. Her mother died during childbirth, and her father and two of her brothers were killed during an attack on the nearby village, Baywater. Unknown to pretty much everyone, Sera's uncle was a very powerful magician. Since she used to spend so much time at his house, sewing and such with his wife, she was able to spy on her eldest brother, who was being taught magick by her uncle. Having three older brothers, she'd always had the idea that she could do anything they could, so she approached her uncle one day with that very idea. Strangely enough, he was thrilled with the idea, saying that in that day and age a girl should be able to protect herself. Thus she began learning spells on a daily basis.
Important info. : During the attack, Sera's throat was cut by a young man who apparently had no experience in killing people. He left her for dead, but her eldest brother and uncle found her and were able to partially heal her. Because of this wound, she can speak no louder than a murmer, and has had to learn to whistle loudly to get peoples' attention. She was able to study another year with her uncle and brother before the group who had attacked them reappeared. This time, her uncle ordered herself and her brother to each take a horse and flee in different directions; this was four months ago. She's finally mustered the courage to return to Baywater and its surrounding towns in search of her surviving kin.
Abilities : Limited communication with animals, can cause plants to grow very quickly and even move (nothing big like 'walking on their roots' or whatnot), also able to cast a few spells such as : putting someone to sleep for about ten minutes (though on powerful magicians it may only make them dizzy/sleepy) and healing minor wounds.
