  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

My husband and I are separating after 30 years of marriage. We're both Christians, been to counseling, but we feel that we need some time apart to sort things out. We know all the Biblical things about divorce.

I would just like to know if there's anyone else out there who is going through or has gone through the same thing.

So sorry to hear that .. my wife and I were separated for a few months two years ago, and we're in a rough spot right now. Dont give up, don't lose hope, and try to remember why you were fond of your hubbie in the first place, and what made you fond of him recently.

I been married almost 23 years and we have separated due to continuos infidelity on his part, don't know if we will divorce at this point, it has all been so very painful, time apart has been good in regards to making him reflect on what he is losing and has prompted him to seek help and which is something he never did before, time apart is helping me to heal, forgive, regroup, assess, I love this man which makes this so very difficult to digest, I have not sought a laywer because I believe God wants me to stay still, the way I know that is the peace I have in my heart at just being still, 30 years is a long time. WHy did you separate?

When married people separate to take time apart to sort things out the organized files they make individually seldom look much alike when they compare notes. 30 years is a lot to walk away from. If your counselor is okay with you two separating fire them and find one who is not. You can work this out.
