  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I recently ran across this site:

www.absolutearts.com

that allows you to post for sale, at no cost, 4 items. I doubt they do any marketing for you. It would be more beneficial to set up your own website (well done) and market it first to your friends and acquaintences.

And, depending on the drawings, getting a nice frame for them (something a little elaborate) greatly increases their presentability.

Has anyone ever sold their artwork for money? I'm considering starting what will probably be a small business selling my drawings. It would be interesting to hear if others have done this. :)

There are several things you need to look into, most notibly is expenses and as ElElohe mentioned, framing. As a small business, the Art community is a hard one to access. There are alot of on-line resources, from places you can sell one or two, to places who might handle all of the technical details for you. Creating a good resume with slides of your work, going to art exhibitions & galleries, also, marketing and exposure, will help getting things going.
