Viewing location reminds me of an anecdote from my dad and I wish he was still alive to verify it. Comet Koheotek in '72 or '73 was supposed to be quite spectaclar, but was a bust in the Northern Hemisphere. We, however, were assigned to Clark, AFB in the Philippenes at the time and my dad described it as meeting expectations due to his point of observation.

I wouldn't worry; Latin was the lingua franca long before English ever was. And French still is at times as well.

Well, the original lingua franca wasn't French if it helps; it was a mixture of languages, but mostly Italian.

I don't believe in this "atmospheric refraction" stuff. I think scientists made it up to convince us there is no firmament. God blesses us with their lies. Soon, the anti-Christ will come and he will prove "atmospheric refraction" to everyone and everyone will follow him, except 312,000 Jews.
