Thread: Spirit's Song
Name: Sel Armorich
Age: 38
Gender: Male
Familial Status: Widowed; father of one son
Occupation: Rogue knight and swordsman trainer
Appearance:
height- 5'8"
weight- 174 lbs
Sel's impressiveness in appearance likens to Samuel's first view of David: next to none. His messy, long, dirty blond curls and hairless, fair face make him look quite boyish for a man; his relatively small frame and lack of mass give the impression that the man is a bard (and his usual predilection to harp-playing strengthens the impression) rather than a knight. On top of this, he dons his handharp rather than a sword. The only thing in common Sel has with his friend Raven is his apperent intraversion. The most surprising facet of his appearance are his dark brown eyes.
Personality-
Naturally, Sel does not speak very often. When he does, he says exactly what is necessary (rarely more); and this is usually enough. True to his intraverted nature, he is highly reflective and isn't afraid to voice his thoughts, though he has a talent for discerning when his voicings will be unappreciated. His temper is slow and doesn't last long, but that acts neither as an advantage, nor a disadvantage to him. The death of his wife caused an understandable change in him (the only thing he valued above his wife is their son), but what change, exactly, is hard to place... Overall, he is a quiet musician (namely a harpist) with a beautiful tenor voice and an inner strength that is hard to put one's finger on.
Bio-
Sel was born to a well-to-do family and house. From an early age, because the family could afford such luxuries at the time, Sel showed an interest in music: namely the hand harp (but he also dabbled with the pianoforte).
When he was 7 years old, a mysterious yet apparently high family by the name Galstrom moved into the locale. Of course, being boys, Sel and the Galstrom child Raven spent much time together, fighting, playing, and enjoying Sel’s music.
When Sel was a preteen, Raven’s family enlisted their powerful teenager to the King’s army as a trainee. Sel, though markably underage, expressed an interest in joining as well, much to the surprise of his parents, viewing him more as a nobleman than an infantryman. Nevertheless, Sel was allowed into training through the influence of the Galstroms.
Both boys delineated incredible promise from the beginning. Whatever task was presented to them was accomplished and accomplished well. As the men moved up the ranks, they began to part their ways as Sel shied away from frontline fighting to be an officer while Raven would not accept such a promotion until it was nearly forced upon him.
Sel was a mid-ranking officer of 21 years of age when he married his wife Marabel. As his familial life moved forward with his marriage and the birth of his son Stephen, He continued to shy away from his progress in the army and eventually took leave to be a knight in his own right (though still occasionally working special assignments).
Soon after the assassination of Prince Cedric, Marabel was wrongfully executed, making a widower out of Sel and a boy without a mother out of Stephen.
Sel now lives with his son and fairly closely with Raven.
