Lucifer's not in reality found
In a place of legend somewhere underground,
Or lurking in shadows, a creature crouched there
With a ghoulish face and a gruelsome stare.
I've learned the hard way most often he's found
In talent and wit and ways that astound;
It's a favorite role--the angel of light--
That he plays to the hilt, how he gives it his might!
So beware! He hopes we'll be sleeping or blind
And will not discern his voice in our mind.
He ever seeks entry but seizes the day
With so full an agenda we've "not time" to pray.
Don't claim, Oh I'd never give Satan reception!
For you'll be the bull's eye, he loves self-deception,
How he relishes pride, but always he flees
From the weakest of Christians down on his knees.
So be sober, vigilant, watchful, and pray
For Lucifer's seeking to slip in your day
Again, watch and pray to be filled with God's power
For he seeks, ever seeks to rob and devour.
