Seek His Face!
1 Chronicles 16:11... Look to the LORD and His strength; seek his face always.
Psalm 27:8... My heart says of you, "Seek his face!"
Your face, LORD , I will seek.
Revelation 22:4-5... They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever
One of the most wonderful things to look forward to in Revelations is the promise "They will see his face". We will be in his presence, speaking with Him face-to-face. There will be nothing clouding our vision.
1 Corinthians 13:12... Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
We can get glimpses of His face now. In Psalm 27:8 we read "Seek his face," and our response is "Your face, Lord, I will seek." This command is also our greatest privilege. There is no higher honor than that we should be invited, to seek the face of God. To seek his presence and fellowship while we wait for the coming of Christ. When we finally do see Him face-to-face fellowship will be deepened and completed because we shall see him as he is.
Seek His face, for what we set our eye upon to follow, day by day, will transform us into that which we behold. So ...
Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus
Helen Lemmel
Turn your eyes upon Jesus;
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim
In the light of His glory and grace.
___________
2 Corinthians 4:6... For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
Thank You Lord for the privilege of seeking the face of Christ. Help us each say deep witin our hearts - "Your face, Lord, I will seek". Let Your light shine in each of our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ.
