Seek God...

What does it means to seek God first?? The Pastor's wife at my church told me this and that God's will is to prosper me and to give me peace.

I must seek Him first and then He will give me all the desires of my heart. It is so weird when she asked me, what are the desires of your heart? I have so much CP that at that time after she prayed for me, all I could think of was..."right now to be closer to God and have the relationship I had with him a year ago."

I am taking stepping stones to Him. But what does it mean to seek God first?

I think it means to make God priority #1 in your life. To spend time reading the Bible, praying, and worshipping. To really make an effort to try to find out what His will is for you and to let Him guide you. To allow Him to conform your will to His.

all it means is to spend time with him...think of it as hanging out with God...reading your word and studying it and praying...when you do this you're life will begin to change...you'll see things differently and get to know the voice of the one who totally wants to woo you...

I agree with what everyone else said. pray, study, read the Bible and always ask and pray that we do God's will, what he wants for us.

It means doing what he wants us to do, whether we want to or not. Sometimes it even means giving up the things we desire for ourselves if those things are not part of God's plan for us. I believe God knows our hearts better than we do, and sometimes he can see our heart's greatest desires before we even realize we have them. That's why we have to trust him. When we trust him, he can give us the desires of our hearts we didn't know we had.
