Second Day-?

Why on the second day of creation, the day the firmament called heaven is made, is the only day about which it was not said, "it was good."?

 cuz it was just "alright" i mean, sure it was cool, but day and night and stuff aint all that exciting

We are actually in the second day in terms of the church age or the age of grace. It began at Pentacost and a day to God is 1000 years for us.

On the second day, God made a firmament that divided the water of earth from the water of heaven. Perhaps God does not see a division between heaven and earth as good and He looks forward to when all will be united or become one in Christ.

In the ancient Jewish temple, the veil (having the colors of the firmament or sky) is what separated man's access to the Holy of Holies.

On the cross, after Jesus said "It is finished", the veil of the temple was rent in two from top to bottom.

and God saw that it was good, is not used at the close of this day's work, as of the rest: the reason some Jewish writers give is, because the angels fell on this day; but it is a much better which Jarchi gives, and that is, because the work of the waters was not finished; it was begun on the second day, and perfected on the third (d); and therefore the phrase is twice used in the account of the third day's work: the Septuagint version adds it here indeed, but without any foundation.
