Sebastian Rock, or Bas as his friends call him, is an 18 year old high school graduate. He and his four closest friends, Jimmy (keyboards / guitars), Tim (drums), Mark (lead guitar), and Mikey (bass) have a garage rock band called Teacher's Pest. Bas playes rythm guitar and is the lead singer. The band has started to move from the garage to the club scene. They have a tendency to party on weekends and after gigs at local clubs. Though they stray from drugs, they indulge in alcohol abuse.
Bas comes from a dysfunctional home. His dad is an alcoholic, though he never physically abused him, his harsh words have left a scar on Bas's heart. Though Bas is a talented songwriter, he lacks the faith that will save him from himself and his selfish ways.
