Any of you fellow Brits into scuba diving? Anyone do any around the UK or do you prefer to go abroad?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Not yet, but would love to try sometime soon. I would probably go abroad where the waters are usually much clearer and you can see more.
The appeal for most people who go would most likely be all the underwater sea life creatures you see down there. Some beautiful sights!

It's a chance to explore and view a world you wouldn't otherwise see (apart from on TV or in a chip shop).
I think the greatest thing about scuba diving is being able to experience such a different God given world so close to home and admire and wonder at all His creation.

I learnt to dive in UK, but I moved to New Zealand and now I live in Australia so you could say I prefer to dive abroad!
I've had the chance to dive some Pacific islands which are different. But I reckon New Zealand is one of the best destinations as long as you like cold water.
