Scientists have stuck things and stuff into a cat's brain, and recorded what it sees using mathematical algorithms.

BERKELEY-- Scientists at the University of California, Berkeley, have recorded signals from deep in the brain of a cat to capture movies of how it views the world around it.
The images they reconstructed from the recordings were fuzzy but recognizable versions of the scenes that played out before the cat's eyes.

Maybe that's how cats view us? As cats? We see anthropomorphise all the time, so I'd expect cats to, er, felisomorphise?

Cats do tend to have a very felino-centric view of the world. Look at how they navigate, if you have a chance to watch them explore a new area. It's always about "where is the cat" and not so much "where is the tree."

I think they just look blurry. Humans are too good at pattern recognition

I would imagine a good sense of smell offsets the blurry vision.

I think the blurriness is because the mathematical algorithms aren't quite perfect. It's an experimental technique, after all.
