The Canterbury Edition from Schuyler is lookin' pretty awesome.

The Canterbury Edition from Schuyler is lookin' pretty awesome.

When are you going to get rid of that horrible "Authorised" Version, and get yourself a God-Honoured 1599 Geneva Bible? After all, the only reason that the KJV was created was to confound the Puritan understanding and substitute a Church of England understanding for it.

Incidentally, there is now a cheap version --complete with original notes and cross references-- (about $50 US) that has modern spelling. My wife and i both use it. i can give details later if you wish.

I ended up passing on this Bible due to the exchange on Canadian money and the shipping which would have cost me close to $50 U.S. dollars.

Beautiful lettering, why more Bibles do not have more pleasing aesthetics these days where it is so much easier, I do not know, other than reducing costs and paying Koreans a fraction of what it would cost to pay Americans to do the same work.

This. I have a nice KJV Family Bible I received as a gift, it is a treasure I hope to pass down. Gilded edges, illuminated pages, and leather binding, I love that Bible.

Just bought it. I think Geneva was only translation I didn't have until now.

Sure, no problem. I believe it is hardback but I will let you know about the binding, paper, script sharpness and anything else I can think of. I want it to last so I hope it worth the money. If not no problem, it ain't like I haven't spent a boat load of money over the years on books.

I wish they would re-pub the Geneva in leather or plain hardcover. The Patriots edition has cover art and the bonded leather is...well...bonded.
