During this wonderful Christmas season, I have been thinking about many childhood memories. Included in those memories is singing Christmas Carols at school! Shocking in these days of the constant cry of "Separation of church and state"!
I recall singing in public elementary school carols like: Silent Night, O Little Town of Bethlehem, Away in a Manger, Gloria in Excelsis Deo. We also sang them at our school's Christmas Concert. Half the time nowadays, churches don't even sing them at this time of year! My family has to endure me singing them throughout the house. hehehe
What songs did you sing as a young 'un at holiday times in school?
