I had a dream that freaked me out a little, and just wonder what it means...

In the first part of the dream I was in a room with black walls, (it kind of looked like the nightclub I was singing karaoke in a week earlier). I noticed there was nothing but women in the room. I saw an old female friend in the dream which committed suicide about five years ago. I was sitting on a couch and then this woman that looked like Angelina Jolie (SP?) bent over and kissed me. That part wasn't so bad. :D

This is the scary part... Then I was in an empty room facing a very ominous looking creature that was on the opposite side of the room. Kinda like an old western gunfight. It was dressed in one of those hooded robes was about 7'-7'.5 feet tall. There was no noise, we were just facing each other. I definitely remember an empty barren feeling in the room. I could not see it's face. I got kind of scared and started trying to say Jesus, but all I could manage was Je.. Je... Je... I couldn't quite say Jesus.

When I woke up my initial reaction was I was facing the angel of death, but I'm not sure... I wonder what me dream means?

I got kind of scared and started trying to say Jesus, but all I could manage was Je.. Je... Je... I couldn't quite say Jesus.

To me, this is the scariest part of all. If it were me, I would spend some serious time in prayer and in the word of God seeking God's face about why I could not say the name of Jesus.

That's what stood out to me anyway.

I believe the first part of your dream may represent temptation & the wages of sin<death>

Oooh the last part is scary. As for what type of evil spirit I don't know..the giants that the Israelites fought in the OT:scratch: & maybe the part were you can't say Jesus may have to do with something in your life that the Lord wants you to cease & that's why you couldn't say Jesus' name.

Possible meanings of symbols:

Room

To dream that you are in a room, represents a particular aspect of yourself or a particular relationship. Dreams about various rooms often relate to hidden areas of the conscious mind and different aspects of your personality.
To see a dark, eerie or confining room, denotes that that you feel trapped or repressed in a situation.

Black: Opposite of white and purity; judgment of
God; death; famine; sin; ignorance; darkness; demonic army.

Wall: Can be a hindrance or obstruction; enormous power; leaders.

Woman (Unknown): See Man and Harlot: Angel;
demon; witchcraft; seducing spirit; temptation.

Woman who committed suicide could be spirit of death or suicide. This could be a reference to spiritual death

Who does Angelina Jolie represent to you? What kind of woman is she? Is she immoral or moral?

Kiss: Similar to a hand shake showing an agreement; allurement toward evil; betrayal; betrayal from a trusted friend or brother/sister in Christ.

Bend: to change direction or course, or cause something to do this; to adapt or interpret something in a way that was not originally intended, especially for personal benefit or to help somebody else; to yield in response to a strong will or force, or force somebody or something to do this.

This is my impression: The Lord is showing you that you have allowed the allurement of evil to enter into your life in some way and that you are giving in to it and are enjoying it, so when the enemy comes up against you, you are not in your spiritual armor and you don't have what it takes to fight off the enemy which is why you feel so empty inside and it is also why you can't say the name of Jesus. I think the Lord is showing you that you need to do some self-examination to see if you are walking in the Spirit or in the flesh, because you can't do both and still be able to ward off the attacks of the enemy.

Well, that is what I see, which is why I said that you need to get alone with the Lord and ask him to show you why you could not say the name of Jesus in your dream. This is serious!

:( Iv even struggled to say Jesus when I had bad dreams, all that came out was Jee and it was a time when I felt so far from him.
Work on praying more and stay close to him, then your jees will get stronger even when your sleeping and will protect you. When my faith is weak all I would say is jee but when its stronge I can say Jesus in my nightmares.
It was bad, when I lossed my baby, I was alone in the hospital and had nightmares and felt far from him and all I could say was JEE too, evil spirits were laughing at me, when I was in sorrow.I heard them and it was very scarry.

There are a few other things I didn't touch on.... Before I had the dream I woke up early, and started thinking about my current situation. I've been unemployed for over a year now after being laid off from a job that I worked for over 17 years. I was thinking how tired I am and don't know if I have the energy to start over again. A thought came to me that it might be easier to give up. I went back to sleep and had the dream.

I know all about the temptations in nightclubs. I was a lead guitarist in a Rock and Roll band for twelve years. I quit music and bars a long time ago to straighten out my life. Even after all of that time I still feel uneasy going in to a nightclub just to sing a couple of songs.

My feeling is that the hooded figure is the spirit of death. The karaoke room represents the world. Karaoke bars are full of people with big dreams and fantasies, hoping to somehow be discovered and become bigger than life like Hollywood stars are made to be. However, the ways of the world leads to death.

When it comes to serving the flesh, there is no end to it. There's never enough money to be made, never enough people to love and admire you, never enough sex, etc. As King Solomon said, "all is vanity", and it drives one to madness. Why do you think Hollywood stars are drug addicts and alcoholics? I have Jesus, and I wouldn't trade places with anyone with a star on the Hollywood walk of fame.

Your friend committed suicide because she drowned in a feeling of hopelessness. She was overwhelmed by the world and the feelings that condemned her and distorted her perception of life.

Singing karaoke and being a performer is fine, but when you pursue the world and define your success in life by its terms, you have a showdown with death. And the only way you're going to win this fight is if you leave the room.
