I actually went to church with my family today. I continue to respect what others honor between themselves and God. So my day is going quite well. Thanks for asking.Hi Cribstyl, how has your Sabbath day been?
I actually went to church with my family today. I continue to respect what others honor between themselves and God. So my day is going quite well. Thanks for asking.
HmmmmmPraise God for what the Sabbath represents. It represents the finished work of creation and testifies of God's love in how He provided for everyone of our needs in creation, even man's need for fellowship. It also represents the finish work of Jesus dying for the sins of the whole world. What better to remember and celabrate than the Sabbath day. We, as new covenant Christians have a dual blessing in celebrating and remembering what the Sabbath represents. It's like having a birthday on Thanksgiving.
HmmmmmI dont know why I always thought that the sacrifice of His only begotten Son testified of His love.
I dont know why I always thought that the cross represented the finished work of dying for the Sins of the world.
I'm so naive.
There is no contradiction in the word of God.I wouldn't say you're naive, you just have to study a little more...
There is no contradiction in the word of God.
You said ; the sabbath....
(A)testifies of His love
(B) represents the finish work of Jesus dying for the sins of the whole world.
Do you have scriptues that comes close to saying that?
I said;
(A) the sacrifice of His only begotten Son is what testified of His love.
(B)the cross represented the finished work of dying for the Sins of the world.
My evidence is not commentary, here are a few verses that teach truth in this matter.i
Jhn 3:16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Rom 5:8But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
1Jo 4:10Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins.
1Jo 4:14And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son [to be] the Saviour of the world.
1Pe 3:18For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
Rom 5:8But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Rom 5:9Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Rom 5:10For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
Until you come up with some real bible truths, we'll probable never agree on much. You have done well my brother, you are not far from the kingdom. Now take a closer look beyond written words and look at creation itself and look at what the cross produces within the heart if the believer. Remember, the cross only means something to those who believe and the Scriptures only testify of Jesus, you still have to come to Him. Keep studying, the Lord will bless.
Until you come up with some real bible truths, we'll probable never agree on much.Until then, try to be more Christlike and respect those who dont agree with your spin on things.
Any thoughts?Ephesians 5-6 confirms the principle "submit to one another out of reverence for Christ." Paul notes that this principle is similar to the principle set out in the law. There are all sorts of principles set out in the law that continue to be valuable. According to Ephesians 5-6, this include principles relating to husband/wife relationships, parent/child relationships and servant/master relationships.
Remember that . . . just 3 short chapters prior . . . Paul confirmed that Jesus Christ set aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. Paul is appealing to principles, not law.

Good stuff CribYou got to be kidding me..
Who coined the phrase "saved by grace through faith"? Why not let him teach us the doctrine of faith?
Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
The scriptures above teach that man have no part to play but believing and accepting God's gift. The text below teaches that, after we've accepted His free gift we can do good works, just as the body of of believers are called to minister and to be about service to the poor.....)
The scriptures above teach that; "if we had a part to play in salvation we could brag about our effort to earn salvation. We cant because salvation is a free gift. Jesus did it all.
Eph 2:10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
The contradiction being taught by commentary is that faith is keeping the ten commandments.
K4c and other are avoiding the doctrine of faith as taught by Paul.
It teaches us that "faith" is without works of the law".Rom 3:28Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
These guys are always adding to or contradicting the scriptures.
