I think I was always taught that Sunday was the day that Jesus rose, so that's why we go to church on Sunday. However, my understanding is that historically it was not a Sunday on which Jesus rose.... But that's an entirely different discussion.

I don't think you'll get anyone to say "Sunday is the Sabbath"... I believe the word "Saturday" **means** Sabbath Day. heh.

I don't personally think it's relevant which day we go to church. I usually attend on Saturday EVENING at my church, because I prefer evenings over mornings, and I enjoy the less crowded Saturday service. (It's identicle to the Sunday service at my church)

I'm sure others can provide more factual responses.
