If possible, would several of you post, or pm me, links to websites that talk about how Satanists mean the exact opposite of what the words they use mean? For example, if a Satanist says "I believe in god." What they actually mean is they believe in Satan. If they say they believe in doing good, what they actually mean is they believe in doing evil, etc.! My searches so far have turned up no satisfactory results. Knowledge, concepts and discussions prior to the invention of the Internet can sometimes be nonexistent on the Internet. Try looking up the statistics for terrorism that took place in the last half of the 20th century and you'll see what I mean. Thanks,

Oh! I apologize, I just thought this was for self-edification.
The short answer to this would be because Satan would rather be non-existent where God wants to be believed in worldwide, and to live His ways rather in death with Lucifer.

See a pattern here? It's backwards rather than forward. Ever wonder why people get 3 scratches upon becoming possessed? It's a mockery to the Son, the Father and the Holy Spirit. So when a person says they're following god (and not actually God), they try to make you slip up in your own beliefs that you might think is Biblical, when in fact it's quite the opposite. Discernment here is key.

First of All... Satanists may or may not believe in God and often they do not even believe in satan. Satanists are often confused with devil-worshippers who fit more the description of what you put in your post. Satanists worship themselves alone... above all other beings created and eternal. Satanists believe that the world is their temple and altar and tend to be very hedonistic, intellectual, and despise most mind-altering substances... They also have incredibly strict ethics as far as respect and nonviolence. Most Satanists are vegetarian or vegan and are careful what goes into and out of their mouths.... a devout Satanist could easily be mistaken for a cover-christian with the most marked difference that they worship themselves as "god" which is satanic and a testament to satan the deciever's influence over so many as he lures them to join him in eternal torment.

I hope this helps... a true Satanist would laugh in your face if you suggested that they worshipped the devil and if they even acknowledged satan, they would probably say that satan exists only to serve them of the believe he exists at all.
