Satanists rituals...!!

Are there any Satanists on this forum? If yes, I hope they can explain this:

I'll tell you some info about them told by one man in a TV show who was from them for some time and repented:

* If you want to be one, you should insult God, scorn His Holy Book and get anything that is related to religion from your house, car,...etc.

* They like to eat food with blood, he used to ask his wife not to cook the food completely, but to keep blood in it!

* They like to smell (sorry it is so disgusting but u should know it) used sanitay pads of women

* They make their sacrifices with dogs and black cats, and after slaughtering them, take their blood and put it on their bodies as a blessing I saw that on a clip they showed

* Most of their ritual are in the WC they stay there for long periods of time.

* They always use their left hand, even in shaking hands. They dont ever use the right hand.

* He said that there are other things that cant be told on TV!!

What's that?!

That's sounds like the kind of propagandist nonsense spread during the "Satanic Panic" of the 1980s. To be honest, the guy on the television show was probably lying.

It doesn't take much Googling to separate some truth from some fiction. WikiPedia has an article about the three major "kinds" of Satanism; note the total lack of sniffing sanitary pads. WikiPedia also has an article on the Satanic Panic of the 1980s, laying out the claims made and the total lack of solid evidence to back them up. It was almost a follow-up to the Communism scare of the 1950s, or the witch scare of Salem--Satanic abuse became a convenient way to accuse people of horrible things, and "memories," recovered in the same way as UFO abductees recover memories (i.e. false-memory syndrome), were about as solid as the evidence got.

Religious Tolerance dot org has this to say:

And eating bloody meat is no big deal; people do it all the time. My wife is a practicing Lutheran, and Rare steak is her favorite meal!

That's what I was thinking. Personally, I prefer my steak at least medium, if not medium well. But eating rare steak is by no means a sign of Satanist leanings.

How many people do you think saw the show on TV and didn't even think to question it or get corroboration?

At the individual level a lie confronted can be debunked. FutureTeller can you let people know the name of the show you saw? I imagine there are quite a few members of this forum who would like to take the producers and network to task for airing sensationalist nonsense that foments hatred and fear.

I'm female, and i'd rather not smell them, and i'm pretty sure no male Satanist would either.

TV should not count as a true educational resource on Satanism. No Satanist sacrifices animals. Sorry

All Born Again Christians claim to have been either a Satanist or Witch or Atheist or worse it is part of their rebirth from a world of sin. So if this person was only a Satanist in his imagination.

I'm Christian, and most of what I've seen of Satanism is actually pretty tame.

Read some of the Satanic Bible over a pentagram, and talk about people the CoS doesn't like.

Kinda' like too many Christian churchs (go to church, find a guy reading the Bible over a cross, and talking about people that that church doesn't like).

That guy's story sounds kind of like those stories I've heard from "Christian former D&D players" that always include a bunch of stuff, that once researched, don't actually have anything with the actual subject at all.

I'm sure you probably saw my previous reply, but really, just watching tv then posting all this wasn't very clever. The claims made were unfounded, tv always does what it likes to make people perceive groups in certain ways, research should always be done...from reputable sources.
