Just a few questions.

Why did God create Satan?

Lucifer at one time was an angel who was ahead of the heavenly choir. But due to his pride and rebellion, Lucifer decided that he didn't have to submit to God.

God creates us with free will. We are created in God's goodness and image. That being said, all of God's creatures are created with free will. With our free will we make decisions.

I don't really know why God created Satan. I don't know why God created the heavens and the earth or why He created you and me, I just know that He did.

Why does he allow him to influence us?

Because of the gift of "Free Will". God wants us to freely love Him and serve Him. He didn't want us to be robots. He wanted us to be able to decide to love and follow Him on our own free will. With that in mind, Satan can't really influence us, unless, we ourselves willingly allow it. And if we do call upon the name of the Lord to help us to overcome the temptations that are thrown at us, God will help us. But we have to truly and sincerely be willing to let God help us.

Why did God send Satan to eternal torture; why not eternal boredom?
Why fire?

I don't know. Perhaps, fire was what Lucifer feared the most?

I don't know why God created angels or man, but satan was created and he was perfect in his ways, until he sinned.

I would more look at the influence which comes from sin in our lives, our hearts etc, then to satan as for influecing us personally. however maybe i shoudn't state such as i'm going by my personal experience.

seems to be satan more effects the world, by encouraging those to disbelieve in God, and to decieve others from the truths of God, one big deception to non believers is that there is a hell. He also tries to discourage those from coming to God(Jesus) very much so.

Why does God allow it; because He also made angels with free will it appears, as 1/3 of the angels rebelled against God along with satan, and God does not hinder free will, however if you go by the book of Job, we see in that instance, in the 1st two chapters at least, that satan needed pemission to do what satan did to Job.

So, many Christians assume from this then it is God who allows evil to be done, since they believe satan must seek permission each time, however the bible doesn't state such, only reveals the bit on job..may be in the bible more about such, but i'm not aware of it (which doens't mean a lot.)

Don't know why to eternal torture and fire, men will suffer the same, no differnent. I imagine it will be boring.

Think of it like this: A murderer/someone who deserves the death penalty is not just put in jail, but must be put to death by the electric chair. Because they took someone else's life, they must pay for it with theirs.

Same for Satan, he deceives people and turns them away from God, so he must be punished for spiritually "killing" them (although that doesn't mean it isn't their fault for choosing to do what's wrong).

Also, he willingly chose to rebel against God even though he had been in Heaven and seen God's Glory and known God and everything. That is unimaginably evil.
And it was his choice.

He must not only be put in "jail," but he must be punished, and since he and angels and humans have eternal souls, and since they chose not to accept God and do what He says when they still had the chance, they must be imprisoned and punished forever. And it will be boring for them as well as painful, and all other horrible things.

Ever try and paint a portrait white on white with no colors and especially no opposite to light or white - that being black, representing evil or satan? In this universe it can't be done. Satan provides, temporarily, the contrast to the light of God and therefore gives mankind opprtunity for a complete and full range of choice. I speculate that without choice, love cannot exist between two beings and the perfect outline of black has to be created and used for the time being, as love cannot be forced. It has to be given of a free will or it is not truly love. When all finally have been given time to realize the truth and make their choices, then God will judge right from wrong. Those who have loved Him will see that all things worked for good to them, even evil, as think of the evil intent of the cross where Jesus was completely innocent and pure from any sin or crime. From that great mistakenly thought triumph of evil, God made salvation available to all of mankind through the shed blood of His Son, Jesus. Evil turned into good for mankind by His own suffering and love for us.
Fire could be symbolic, but death by fire is common and what does fire do? It finishes burning eventually.Life and death are the two choices, and a final realization of what was lost, spoken of symbolically, can be interpreted several ways. Some believe in annihilation, with the Greek word "eon" being misinterpreted greatly to mean "forever" when it actually means a specific length of time. Whatever happens, though, it does no good to question the judgement of God, as only He would know what His own creation should have as judgement. His knowledge and "holyness" far exceeds that of His creation.

Just a quick thought, but the fire may just be a picture to us of God's wrath and jugment. For us Hell is a place of torment because you will now be without God forever, therefore I do not think it will be boaring, just painful. But for satan I dont know why it will be torment. It is not like he wants to go to God. You would think he would want to be eternally seperated from him.

Hate to say this, but every answer you've provided to me is unsatisfactory.

#1 We have free will right? But we can't zoomzoom across the universe at 10000k MPH, or lift a bus with our outer toe. Not being able to do something =! no free will
#2 But I don't fear fire the most... And why would an angel have fears?
#3 See 1.
#4 One: I do not support capital punishment. Two: I do not support torture. I cannot see your pov.

Just because you don't like the answers doesn't mean they aren't true.

#1 Actually we don't have free will.

Since Adam and Eve's fall into sin all have become sinners, and our only natural will is to sin.
Ge 6:5 The LORD saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time.
Ge 6:6 The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain.

I don't think angels do fear fire, but they do fear God who will send all disobedient angels to Hell for all eternity.

Now I have a question. Why are you asking these questions? Are you trying to assign fault to God?

if you want to you can try and lift up a bus with your toe you have the free will to do that nobody told you cant.

Free will is being able to choose to do one thing or another

on one you know we were not created to fly as birds, it doesn't limit free will in any way, it limits our fantasies that we might fly..i dream of it much, and think we will in heaven. and zoom zoom as well in heaven..but not written so don't know..can only go by what's written.

Whatever heaven is like it's gonna be awesome.

We don't know much about the angels, but some feared Jesus would put them in the abyss and so Jesus sent them in a herd of pigs.

Not sure what happens in the abyss tho i believe it is written, but since don't know at the moment can't reply to that. We don't know much of the angels, not tons is written on em.

on point number 4 that is your right, many christians feel the same, i won't say my thoughts, as I've never needed to decide a case, and hope I would never have to.

Don't know anyone who supports torture, but the torturer.

blessings,
tapero

We do have complete free will.

Because sin entered us, didn't change that in any way.

as a non christian one can choose not to sin and many do, and many can be and are as moral as christians. however all sin, but the point is we do it because we choose to.

one doesn't murder another commonly and say, sin made me do this. they chose to murder or rape or incest..free will their choice.

christians sins, and tho the bible speaks of slavery to sin, we all sin, and we do it complelely out of our free will to do so.

if it wasn't within our will to do right or wrong, we would not have free will.

i can choose to sin this moment or choose not to sin this moment. non christians have the same ability and choices.

but we know that only belief in Christ brings salvation.

I agree with Tapero. Free will means you are able to decide your own decision. And no one able to stop you from deciding on what is your choice. Others can influence you but yet you still hold the final say. And we are accountable to that decision. As simple example, we decided daily on what kind of clothes to wear, what food to eat, and what to do and what not to do.

Generally, the freedom can be summed up to two things; choosing God's will or our will. Freedom of choosing a lifestyle. A decision which we will bear the result for eternity.

Bear in mind that God gives the best. Hebrew 11:40 tells us, "God has planned something better for us that only together with us would they be made perfect." Obedience pays. Decision is all up to you. No one else.

Please do remember, not all things God do, we will ever understand in our whole life time. Ask Him when you see Him.

About the fire punishment, the bible did mentioned that hell is for the fallen angel, not for mankind. However, if you choose to follow the fallen angel. So, guess what.... maybe you will follow the angel too.

God bless.
