  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Saskatchewan anybody?

ALL towns in sask are small! :)

The other day on Jeopardy they had a category all about Regina, and those silly americans couldn't pronounce Regina or Saskatchewan. It was really funny.

Anyhoo, I lived in Caronport for 6 years (4 for college, 2 to work) and the thing I miss the most is the hot summer weather... it's not hot enough in Edmonton! I also miss Central Park in Moose Jaw. Yes, people, believe it or not, my favourite park to hang out in is in Moose Jaw. (!)

Hi,
I'm new to these boards and this is my first post. Just wanted to let you know that I live in Saskatchewan, very small resort area and it is the most beautiful place on earth. Boreal forest, lakes and farm land. True some of the province is very flat and has few trees but that's only a small part and even that part is beautiful if you have eyes to see the beauty of the farm lands and all of God's creation.

Well I too am from Sask, Hague, 30 minutes north of Saskatoon. But really took a step up and now live in Winnipeg.

ew.

I'd rather live in Saskatoon than Winnipeg. Winnipeg is just.... icky. Too many mosquitoes, gangs, high crime rates, awful traffic, freezing in the winter, flooding in the summer, etc.

BUT THATS WHAT MAKES WINNIPEG SO FUN THOUGH!!

But you also forgot to mention the labyrinth of roads, those city planners must have had a little too much expired swedish chocolate.

I'm just outside Saskatoon, I like it out here. Right now, with all the rain, things are pretty lush.

I can't stand big cities, hate to even drive through Calgary and places like that, just what I'm used to. My husband's a truckdriver so he drives through Winnepeg and Toronto and others alot. :)

Yeah, when you live in the country most of your life, city driving can be intimidating. thats the way its with me, I'm only trained to drive behind combines and swerve around deer carcasses.

I really want to go to Saskatchewan this summer. I'm working on it.
At work I ship a ton of stuff to Hague and for some reason that place has always stuck out for me. So now that there is a real LIVE Hague-r, Fox03 PLEASE tell me: What do you love about the place you live in?
And what church do you go to? I may very well be sending all that stuff to you!!
Crazy.

well, that's what I meant by "awful traffic". Winnipeg is SO poorly planned... of course, it doesn't help that they have TWO rivers to work around....
