oh. spam.

Well, I will admit that I ate it as a child -- both cold and fried. ooohhhhhh. Thank You, L-rd, that Your Word says that the act of elimination cleanses the body!

ROFL!! Actually, in Mexico last week, we were praying to God that He would "Bind up...."...not the brokenhearted in the room, but our intestines from having diahrrea!!

And speaking of spam....hmmmm....I do have a can on the shelf. I wonder what Susana would think......LOL!

LOL!

They really still make Spam?!
Not had that since school dinners - fried in batter, with mashed potato, (not forgetting grey lumps), and baked beans.

Funny thing about school dinners; the first few weeks they were inedible. After that you found you sort of developed a liking for them - growing teens just get so HUNGRY!

(Give me chocolate pudding with minty custard!)

Blessings, love Susana

1. Spam sandwich on white bread with mustard, mayo, lettus, and tomato. Add pepper to taste.

2. When we were kids we made sandwiches out of everything! One of our favorites was spaggetti sandwiches, which is exactly what it sounds like. Spaggetti with meat sauce between two pieces of thick home-make yeast bread. Butter also!

3. Fried egg sandwich. A fried egg over easy (or "sunny side up") betten two pieces of toast. WITH CATSUP! Salt and pepper to taste.

..... making me hungry.

Yuk! Chocolate pudding and chocolate sauce, or ginger pudding and orange sauce, or Lemon Merangue pie. I like semolina too - not many of my friends did, but hey - I'm weird!

It's rather a shame that I've lost my appetite at the moment really.

PS What's catsup, Dids?

Catsup is a tomato based sauce.
Brand names include Heinz, Hunts, and Delmonte...
Used mainly on hamburgers, hotdogs, eggs, french fries, and as a base for other sauces such as BBQ sauce.
MMMMMM!

Well we do, but I didn't know that it's what we call tomato ketchup. I don't much like it. (Bet you're surprised!)

We have eggy-bread in the UK, which is bread soaked in egg (and sometimes a little milk) for a good half-hour ad then pan-fried till it is crispy.

I'm not sure what is normally eaten with it, but it's definitely savoury.

That's what we call French toast. I like it with salt, pepper, and sour cream. Most here ear it with syrup and powdered sugar.

Believe me, everyone in the States does not use catsup (also spelled ketchup here). Yuck! When my children were little, I forbade catsup from the table in any form unless we were eating hamburgers or hotdogs. They still remember that!

Is pudding the same in Europe that it is here: a sweet dessert made from milk, cornstarch, sugar, and flavor, usually bought packaged, sometimes as instant pudding?

No - that's custard!
Pudding is any dessert - just the more everyday word rather than the posh restaurant one!

Blessings, love Susana
