I posted on the new members forum as this is my first time. My husband transitioned on July 27, 2013. He was diagnosed in January with Lung Cancer. He wasted away from 179 to 116 lbs. He was so weak and yet he still tried to pull weeds from our backyard. He was kind, quiet and giving, always thinking he could have done more. He was a true servant, a Father and Grandfather, my children never had. Even though he had children, they chose to have a relationship on their terms and they missed out on so much. We were married for 36 years. It was our second marriage. He was baptized on April 13, 1988 and never looked back to his former life. He was a usher for over 20 years, He sang in the Brotherhood Chorale and he worked as a landscaper at church after he retired. I truly miss him and I cry, but not for long, because I know he is finally through with chemo, radiation, needles and too much medication. He is with the King, something he was always trying to strive for and I rejoice that he has a brand new body. I'll pray for all of you and you pray for me and watch God change things.
