Should we put sanctions on China for spreading coronavirus and causing deaths of so many people throughout the world ?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

no. Seems like that would be kicking them while they're down. They have done enough. More than the United States can do. To put sanctions on China for this reason just sounds purely political.

Given that the second and deadliest wave of the Spanish Flu may have mutated in Mid-America, perhaps the OP might have second thoughts about holding China responsible!

There is no indication that I'm aware of that COVID-19 is anything but a natural pandemic. China wasn't able to contain it, but every indication is that they tried really hard to do so.

Personally, I have a hard time understanding why this subject is even coming up on a 'christian' discussion page. Someone is actually wanting to hold man responsible for the work of the fourth horseman?
I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

Sanctions against China
Good luck trying to squeeze money out of the Chinese - the Allies tried to do that with Germany after WW1 which effectively set the stage for the rise of Hitler and WW2 - the victorious nations didn't make the same mistake twice!
