Have you experienced answered prayer? Do you know that God hears and answers your prayers? No, not that the naswer is always as you wish it to be, but that you do receive an answer.

Only God's children, who have a personal relationship with Christ can rightfully expect to have their prayers answered. The only other prayers he always answers is prayers of repentence seeking salvation.

From God's Written Word:

I John 3:22: And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
23 ¶ And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us. KJV

"We receive whatever we ask for, because we are obeying his orders and following his plans. His orders are that we should put our trust in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another - as we used to hear him say in person. The man who does obey God's commands lives in God and God lives in him, and the guarantee of his presence within us is the Spirit he has given us." JBP

God had answered my prayers too. I've been asking for some explaination about how He works through our requests and BANG! Gerry's SC5 post came up :).

God had answered my prayers many many many times before. Some of which i didn't notice until late after. I mean, He never let me down. Of course sometimes His answer is No and that is pretty easy to descern. If God says no, why try to persist? I think i did that before. Man if He gave me what i wanted then (the answer was NO then :)) i would have ended up as an atheist. Long testimony short, i was a young christian asking to give my parents a perfect life. If He did that, i don't think i would have been a strong believer now. It was my parents suffering, my suffering, and all affected suffering that made me as i am today.

God still has a job for me :).

Gerry: sorry if i went off topic a little :)

Not only does he answer our prayers. He sometimes gives us things we desire without us even having to ask him. Sometimes those things can seem a little silly, but you know they come from him. And the fact that he did it for you means more than anything else could.

He also blesses us in many little ways everday that aren't always so easy to see. I pray we all can learn to take better notice of these things, so we can thank him for them.

Thanks for sharing another great salvation check with us :)
