I wish I could afford some books right now....but with hubby on a strict 40 hour work week with no hope of overtime in the foreseeable future and the fact we are trying to buy a house, books are WAY down the list.....

Too bad the libraries don't actually carry any good reformed or calvinist books.....at least not small town libraries......

Monergism says, "Theologically A Covenantal, Presuppositional, Christocentric, Redemptive Historical, Amillennial, Supralapsarian Calvinist. An Excellent Contribution. Highly Recommended!" It also received high praises from J. I. Packer, John Frame, and Roger Nicole! SOLD!!

Recently becoming a Calvinist, I've enjoyed R. C. Sproul's books so far, even though I only have two of his books, The Mystery of the Holy Spirit and Faith Alone. I used to hate what Sproul was teaching, but now, after seeing Scripture supporting Calvinism, I could not refuse!

I just wanted to pass on that the first 200 pages of Reymond's Systematic Theology have been in every way superb. I have yet to find any major points in which I disagreed with him and believe me there were plenty of points on which I was surprised to find his views in line with my own. I can only speak for what I have read, but this book has been phenomenal thus far. I plan to write a review of it for the group when I get done with it (it's hefty: 1000+ pages).

I've seen good reviews on it. I already own an number of Systematics (Calvin's Institutes, Berkof, Dabney, Rushdoony, Chafer [yes I own a few Dispy systematics], and a couple more that I can't recall the names off hand) I may have to get this one too.

You know what happens to Calvinists that hold out on paedobaptism, right? The Ultra Top Secret Calvinist Conspiracy steals their children away, sprinkle baptizes them, and returns them without the parent's knowledge. Don't let them be baptized again or you'll turn them into Anabaptists!!
