  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hey I feel for you... although i'm not entirely convinced you're going about things the right way. As an MK i faced that very problem and here are a couple of things that i found helpful and had to resort to for some of them.... sometimes God doesn't give us an easy way out, although if he does for you, praise him!
- postponing admittance for a year, working, and redoing your highschool grades until they are good enough to get you a merit scholarship
- applying to several universities until one of them gives you a merit scholarship (I did that)
-compromising on your first choice of major so you have a better chance of getting a merit scholarship (should have done that but didn't. Turned down a scholarship and later regretted it)
-studying in a country where there are no tuition fees for undergrad (and if you research there are a few good ones), working really hard and getting good enough grades to get a scholarship for masters in the uni and country of your choice. You will also have the added bonus of having learnt an extra language, and your determination will look REALLY good on your cv
-researching income related scholarships (are your parents missionaries? if so, there are specific scholarships that can help)
-doing an online degree while working full time (i'm doing that now)
Be brave! Maybe you won't need to resort to all that, but expecting money on a plate, even if God seems to be leading you somewhere is not always the way foward.
