The Blessed Virgin, seeing as how I recently upped my daily Rosary to 15 decades.

However I have also prayed novenas to St. Jude, St. Joseph, St. Michael, and other saints.

You pray the Rosary daily? I was thinking on starting when I wake up in the morning.

I prayed one third of the Rosary (five decades) daily for about three years, and this past Saturday I started praying the full Rosary (fifteen decades) daily. It takes me about 45-50 minutes to complete if I do it in one kneeling. Once you get started with the full Rosary, it's not hard at all to continue to the end assuming a sufficient will and no distractions.

If you are just starting to pray the Rosary and don't already have an established routine, you would probably be best off saying five decades a day to start with or else you may be overwhelmed and possibly give up. Do your best to meditate on the mystery for the particular decade you are praying, and if possible pray alone in a quiet place if you can't get friends or family to pray with you.

Keep in mind that five decades a day is a lot more than many Catholics do spiritually and that you should try to gradually add other spiritual practices as you go. I started out by praying five decades a day and eventually added parts of the Divine Office to my daily routine before adding novena prayers and then working up to 15 decades a day and 15 minutes of Bible reading.

I just recently found my rosary since I thought I lost it when I moved and I been wanting to start it but knew it would take forever since I remember how it was in school when we did it. I do Bible reading too, Every night before I go to bed I read the Bible and I normally say my prayers in the morning but also at random times of the day and I also read a book my Pastor wrote to get my mind off of things. 5 decades sounds good though to start off at..Thanks =)

I was just wondering what saint people mostly pray to? My grandmother prays to Saint Joseph and Saint Anthony every day and I pray to Saint Michael everyday...anyone else pray to saints?
The Blessed Virgin Mary and St Thomas More, my two favourites. :)

I will honestly say that I am just starting to pray to saints, mostly because I am still being taken in by how much there is to learn, regarding the Church. I know I haven't been back in it all that long... but the more I've read, the more prayer to the saints makes good sense to me. It's a teaching I'm happy to accept now that COMPLETELY puzzled me when I was a non-believer, and that baffled me before then, when I considered myself more protestant.

Aaaanyways... please see my signature for the saints I pray to - they're those who look after unborn children, pregnant women, and they are people who led AMAZING lives in so many ways. I really enjoy reading about them.
