Sad News Regarding Yella

We received sad news this evening from a personal friend of Yella that he passed away yeterday morning. We were asked to remove his account.

However, we know that many of you would like to post your responses and condolences.

This thread is available to that end.

Yella was my first buddy on CF.
All of heaven welcomed Yella home with arms wide open.



God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.

He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain.
And knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw your path was difficult, he closed you tired eyes,
He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly.
When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,
We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again.
You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.

My prayers and thoughts are with Chris' parents. May they feel the comfort and peace that can only come from God.

I did not know Yella, but I'm very saddened to see this happen. My heart fell when I read this post. May the Lord comfort all those who mourn for him.

I am in utter shock at the moment. Yella was a very caring friend of mine on CF... I don't know what to say. All I can think of is that he was a great person to get to know. Someone who I could have fun on the boards with. This is such a great shock. I'm having a hard time grasping this at the moment.

Yella, you've been a great friend, one of the few that were kind enough to bother to get to know me. May you rest peacefully with God. Thank you for being a caring friend. I'm going to miss you... Until we meet again, in heaven.

Although I never personally met yella on this board, I have come across a number of his friends sporting the Banana costumes. It is obvious to me that he touched a great number of people here.

Chris touched a lot of lives on CF and I am sure that's only a small fraction of the lives hetouched in the real world. My prayers for his family and his friends, including his friends here. He'll be missed.

The information regarding yella and the request to remove his account came from a CF member who says he is a personal friend of yella. The request PM seemed sincere and I presented the request PM to Erwin. Erwin asked me to remove the account.

I posted this thread so that the reason for the removal of yella's account would be known and to allow his online friends to post their condolences.

Should anyone know that this request was not genuine, you are welcome to PM me or Erwin. Please allow this thread, however, not to become a debate on the decision.

I never knew Yella...but I did pray for him when I saw a few posts about him. I am sorry for those who were friends and for his family.

My heart sank when I saw this announcement. How very, very sad that this fine young man should be taken from us.

However, at the time I read it, I was listening to this song on my pc:
