i read so many different things..even as far as something like Ppl in the NT dont even need to keep the sabbath because the sabboth was based out in the OT...so yea what days do you personally keep the sabbath day??

Thank you

I keep the sabbath, but not on any day, I keep it throughout the week. A couple hours each day.

too keep the sabbath, friday evening until saturday evening (inline with the genesis creation and the commandment keep the sabbath.

the book of hebrews actually says that a seventh day of rest is left behind for the people of God (it doesn't say sabbath). So for God's people, each week contains a day of rest and dedication to God until the totality is reached in the kingdom.

so you're saying Jesus was legalistic?

Steve
Did Jesus back the idea of doing no work on the Sabbath? Did Jesus back keeping the letter of the law, or the concept? Do you read about him taking a day off, or going off by himself to pray regularly?

actually yes he kept the sabbath, after all I believe he was the one who gave the command.

unless you can show me where he disobeyed the sabbath law then I have to presume he kept it.

if you think he broke the sabbath law let's see the scriptures that prove the case.

Steve

p.s. anyone (according to torah) who encouraged others from keeping torah was according to torah a false prophet (even if they did miracles) and as such deserved death. (so says the scripture)

Do I need to cite you the multiple times Jesus healed on the sabbath? The time the disciples picked grain and ate on the sabbath? The letter of the law is unimportant. The concept is very important. Don't try to put words in my mouth.

healing does not breach the Sabbath requirements, eating ears does not breach, Jesus definitely kept the Sabbath.

keeping the Sabbath does not constitute legalism, in fact if anything it brings freedom. I know my wife and I both keep the sabbath (friday eve till sat eve).

it is not my intent to put words in your mouth, maybe you need to clarify more explicitly what you mean when you post. I have a philosophy that says, write as though the other person has no idea what you are on about.

I was pretty clear. You saw what I said about the letter of the law versus the concept, correct?

Do you have any backing for that one? I don't think that's supported by Scripture.

Yes, God rested on the seventh day when He had formed man, and that would be our Lord Jesus Christ, the perfect creation of God.

"And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you
to myself, that where I am you may be also." (John 14:3)

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." (Isaiah 9:6)

Um, and those Scriptures prove what you claim how?

"And from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given
through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God;
the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known."
(John 1:16-18)

Greek
G3762

From G3761 and G1520; not even one (man, woman or thing), that is, none, nobody, nothing:
- any (man), aught, man, neither any (thing), never (man), no (man), none (+ of these things),
not (any, at all, -thing), nought.

Sabbath is not a day but a generation (to be observed) since Christ's birth.
Okay, buddy. This is what you stated. You are not supporting that, you're just giving us random verses and Greek. What's the deal?

I have nothing against SDA's, we are all brothers and sisters under one
God, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for all authority has been handed
to Him by our Father. The book of Genesis is written in highly figurative
language, may God open your eyes to unlock its secrets. If you keep the
sabbath, you are not sinning, and if you don't keep it, you're not sinning
as well.

"And Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.'"
(Matthew 28:18)

"But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, how can you turn back
again to the weak and worthless elementary principles of the world, whose slaves you want to be
once more? You observe days and months and seasons and years! I am afraid I may have labored
over you in vain." (Galatians 4:9-11)

"by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself
one new man in place of the two, so making peace," (Ephesians 2:15)

Nice red herring. I don't respond to fallacies except to point them out.
