God blessed the seventh day and made it holy at creation.

Many years after God said, "Remember to keep it holy".

When God said, "Rememeber to keep it keep it holy" He was referring to the fact the it was made holy at creation and we are to keep it holy still.

The seventh day wasn't made holy at Sinai, it was confirmed holy.

Doing good and serving God does not profane the seventh day.

What you're calling 'it" should be "God's seventh day of creation."
Considering what is written in Gen1-2:1-3, God is the only one listed as doing any kind of work on each of seven days.

The purpose of this added commentary to God's word is to imply a creation instituted sabbath.
If we dont present the historic truth and realities about what the ealiest Christian wrote and how they worshipped, we have nothing to stand on.
Saying that God instituted the sabbath in creation is proven as questionable by many scriptures.

The seventh day wasn't made holy at Sinai, it was confirmed holy.

Doing good and serving God does not profane the seventh day.
Cant argue agaisnt that statement....The sabbath was established as a law at Sinai as the sign of a binding covenant.
Now that a new convenant is given, we should not be misled by commentary that New is Old.
Jesus gave us communion as an ordinance in rememberence of Him after His death. There are countless texts to explain when and why Gentiles became adopted by God.
ESV - Col 2:16 -Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath.

There are many different days that were set aside as shadows and were called sabbaths in the Bible all of which were instituted as a result of sin. This is not so with the seventh day of creation. The seventh day, and only the seventh day of creation, was blessed, sanctified and called holy by God at creation as part of creation. This was done before sin was in the world and has no part of the shadows, which include all the foods, drinks, washings, festivals, new moons and sabbaths which were all instituted as a result of sin to paint a picture of how God was going to deall with sin through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. The only part the seventh day Sabbath has in this is that if you forget to keep it holy it's a sin of which Jesus needed to die for.

These statements are not the scriptures. God's seventh day rest was not given for man to keep as a sabbath until Moses said it happened in Ex 16.
Moses recieved the sabbath and the law and wrote every minute detail about it. Moses wrote about creation and did not leave out what God inspired Him to write.

When the Sabbath rest was given as a law in the 4th commandment, God said it was a sign between Himself and one people only. The scriptures are what contradicts commentary about a creation instituted sabbath.

Next Chapter This is what the scriptures say about sabbath regardless of what commentary teach.
